I like them. They work.
After a short getting to know you period, I've come to really like these over regular ice, most of the time. They're pointless in ice water if you have access to actual ice that isn't awful. My notes/observations/experiences regarding these reusable cubes:!.) Cooling abilityThey do take longer to cool down a drink that's not already cold, but it's not a huge difference. I just let my drink sit about a minute or whatever before I start drinking it, and it's like a normal cold drink.2.) CleaningThey clean up well in a bowl of warm soapy water and rinse through a colander3.) Staining?* I have not noticed any stains or discoloration* However, I have not used them with: fruit juices, drink mixes (like Kool-Aid or Crystal Light), or black coffee* I have used them with: iced tea (fresh brew, not instant), coffee that is 50% not-actually-coffee, and chocolate flavored Carnation Breakfast Essentials4.) Storage/Freezing-nessI found that they seem to do better kept flat on a tray (I'm using an old toaster oven tray) than in a bucket like with regular ice. They just weren't freezing evenly when they were bunched up. This method also makes it easier to see which cubes are ready to be used and which ones still need to freeze more. It's very obvious side by side, but if you're digging through a bucket it's not as obvious and also annoying.5.) MeltinessI have performed a very scientific experiment by placing a regular ice cube and one of these reusable ice cubes on a plate and letting them melt. My regular ice cubs are 1.5x - 2x as large as these reusable ones, so I figured that if the large ice cube was half melted by the time the reusable cube was completely melted, I would consider that a win on the part of the reusable cube. The results are as such: They ended up fully melted at basically the same time (except the regular cube left me with a plate of water and the reusable cube just needed to be chucked back in the freezer.)Bonus Round: If they do all melt before you're done with your drink, you can fish them out with a pair of tongs or chopsticks or even a spoon or whatever and throw new ones in and your drink isn't all watered down.6.) The Packaging (dun, dun, DUNNN)* They are packaged absolutely terribly. It's really pathetic. They're packaged like someone who was never taught how to wrap a gift was left alone with a roll of packing tape and a lot of enthusiasm to give it their least.* Unlike other reviewers, I received 60 cubes. (Does this make me the Chosen One?)* None of them were busted or otherwise damaged or weird. Conclusion: They work. They're basically just like regular ice, but a little different. And the packaging department needs some help.

Keeps beverages cold
They work great in keeping chilled beverages cold. Use them first time with my Tequila on the rocks and kept beverage cold without watering it down like ice cubes would ( I keep my liquor in the frezzer). They are intended to keep beverages cold, not to cool down room temperature beverages.

A good substitue for ice
These "ice cubes" do well for what they are. Until new materials are developed that do a better job of conducting heat and cold, these "ice cubes" are the next best thing. If they are properly frozen solid, they will keep a beverage cold without diluting the contents. They are not perfect. However, they do a good job. They are definitely easy to clean. Do not put them in the dish washer. I find that a good rinse has them ready to go back in the freezer. You will need to use more of them to achieve a nice cold beverage. I particularly liked that this set contained 60 "ice cubes". This allows using some while others are being frozen again. As long as you understand the limitation of these "ice cubes", I believe you will be happy with them.

Keeps wine cold
These little cubes are working very well. I use them in my wine glass in the pool. Even in hot Arizona sun (110+ degrees today) they weren’t totally melted after 1 & 1/2 hours. I also use a Tervis cup with a lid. And didn’t dilute my wine! Sure am happy with my purchase. Got enough for a party, too!

After I purchased these I woke up :-)
I purchased these thinking they'd be better than ice cubes. But they are so lame. They take forever to cool something, and never really get it cold the way I want it.But... then I wondered what I was even thinking in the first place:These are basically INSULATED ice cubes - a small amount of real ice inside an insulation layer of plastic. Is it any wonder they barely work? I mean what a concept: Insulated ice.The only "good" use I can see for these are for situations where you ABSOLUTELY NEED to cool the drink without diluting it even a little. The only examples I can think of are wine and beer, and if you often find yourself needing to cool down warm beer, well I guess these are great for you. But honestly, how often do I need that?So bottom line, these work "ok" but mostly they work poorly and they take up room in the freezer, when real ice is way way better for EVERYTHING else that I want ice for. So no slam to the vendor, it's just... think before you buy lame plastic ice when regular pure ice performs much much better.

What a beautiful innovation! reusable ice cubes
I have some coolers for personal travel, that I use freezable ice packs or sheets, and wanted to go a step further to have some more surface touch of ice/cold to the beverages. so i freeze these overnight, add them to the cooler directly over the beverages, and after 16 hours, the beverages were still ice cold.i recommend for keeping things cool, not for cooling things down necessarily . however, i did throw in some room temp bottles, and those did get alot cooler than when thrown in. i have since bought another pack. taste? huh, i don't put them in my mouth. easy to clean just soap and water.

I love them
I bought these for and outside party. They freeze easy and keep drinks cold and tasty without being diluted by melting ice . Also, I’m taking them to Mexico with me( to place in freezer of condo) to have our own ice with bottled water. Not planning to get sick from bad ice cubes made from unfiltered or poorly filtered water.

Don't work
These "ice cubes" have a fundamental flaw. Their outside layer is a heavy insulator, making them nearly worthless for their intended use of keeping drinks cold. At best, they will keep a drink "cool" but nowhere near as cold as actual ice. These are more of an ice pack. Something you keep in a well insulated container to keep the contents a few degrees under room temperature. But are nowhere near ice cold.Basically, I take these frozen cubes, pour an ice cold drink over them in a well insulated container and the temperature goes up almost as fast as if I didn't use anything.
