This is a great, multipurpose product. I initially purchased this product to use to decorate a few items. What remains of the role now inhabits my toolbox for projects around the house.Color and QualityThe product has a good even color making it perfect for decorating. If you are covering a dark surface, then the tape is slightly transparent like most masking tapes. On those surfaces, I put two layers down and it gives a solid light blue color completely hiding the surface below.The tape also comes off the roll easily and squarely so you can lay down straight lines without problems or having the tape stretch.StickThe stick is good for both decorating and home project, which I have now been using this tape for both. The items I decorated had this tape applied in October 2012 and there is still no sign of the edges peeling up.When I used the remaining tape around the house for other projects, it has had enough stick to stay down while I work. I even used it to hold some light cardboard templates on the ceiling and it held them up perfectly.Removal and ResidueI have been using this product around my house for project. It removes easily and has not damaged my painted surfaces. There is also no residue left behind. I feel completely comfortable applying this tape to my walls. Like most masking tapes, I would not leave this on the surface for extended periods (as in days) and expect completely residue free removal.Overall, this is one of the better quality masking tapes, and it gives me the confidence it will not leave residue behind or damage the surface. I may not use light blue again unless I need it for decorating, but I will definitely look for Shuretape again.

This is not the Shurtape paper tape I thought it was. I am a camera assistant, and this is a thinner, painters style Shurtape.
