Would you use this on a microfiber sofa?

No, I think the bristles are too rough for microfiber or micro suede.

Can I use this item on a carpet pile ?

I found this brush to be very stiff and made from plastic. I did use it once in my house to remove some tape residue from the carpet. It worked, but it can leave the spot frayed/fuzzy looking if you use it too much.

Will this brush shred my car seats. Ive used a similar brush and it shredded some of the upholstery??

As of Spring 2020, there are 2 brushes being offered -- a Carpet brush and a Leather brush. That may not have been true at the time this question was asked or these answers given. The Leather brush is perfectly fine for car seats -- leather or fabric. It is stiffer than natural hair brushes on the market but about the same as brushes made with synthetic fibers used for this purpose.

Ok wit use with water?

Yes, you can use with water or any cleaner for any purpose. THE BRISLES ARE PLASTIC! The limits to what liquids you can use on the rug is the rug, not the brush. The only thing that makes a carpet brush a carpet brush is that the bristles are narrower or finer and therefore work into carpet fabric better without harming the fabric. The extra advantage of a carpet brush for all other cleaning is that the finer bristles get into grout, porous materials, and other things much better than a kitchen or bathroom scrub brush. I've been a professional house cleaner for thirty years. I work with these things every day.
