Very clean, well packed, great size variety
These mushrooms arrived clean and well packed, with little or no breakage. I have not tasted them yet, but given their good appearance I suspect they will be delicious. The only notable thing about them, which you may love or hate, is that they are wildly different in size. Some complete mushrooms, stem to tip, are less than an inch tall, while many are 4-5 inches, and one behemoth is 6 inches! The mushrooms from a competitor, which Amazon will not let me name (but you can find my review) were also excellent, but pretty much identical in size. So your choice of which brand to buy may depend on how much or little you value uniformity or variety.

Delicious
My husband is enjoying mushrooms on his beef roast, on steaks, etc. He says to be sure you soak them long enough!

Good buy
Intact, none broken. Various sizes. Blend of species which I consider a positive. I separated them into black and yellow jars.

An annual tradition.
For a number of years now, I've been extremely happy to order the morels from here. They have always been clean, a broad range of sizes for different uses, and importantly, extremely flavorful. For your reference, the 1lb package actually arrives as 2 x 0.5lb packages, which has been perfect for me. Each year I gift my Dad 1/2lb (morels are his favorite and we never find enough wild) and keep 1/2lb for my kitchen. They often end up being part of our family's holiday dinners as well as scrambled with eggs for breakfasts while opening presents. I have consistently had excellent customer service when there has been any question of timing or issue of delivery, and expect to be a regular customer until this shop closes.Edit 12/23: My prior review was specifically for the seller Oregon Mushrooms/Fine Gourmet Products. I accidentally ordered from Eugene Mushrooms this year. No complaints as yet, since I haven't opened them yet, but they do come in a 1 lb bag as opposed to 2x1/2lb. No shipping problems, but the customer service I experienced previously with Oregon Mushrooms/Fine Gourmet Products is very much attributed to the seller. Even at a few dollars more, next year I'll be making sure Amazon isn't switching me to a different seller on a "order again" link.

Great Morels!
I picked morels for many years. I sadly had to give up picking them. I saw these for sale on Amazon. I had my doubt's before buying. But I needed some! I ordered, They came fast. The packaging was perfect and they taste great.

Dried morels
Can’t beat the fresh stuff but surprisingly the dried ones have kept their shape and size, unlike other dried mushrooms that are desiccated and expand quite a bit. As with any dried and rehydrated good, it loses out on the flavor but I also use the rehydrated water (stock?) for cooking and it enhances the flavor/adds umami. The texture of the rehydrated stuff is pretty close to the fresh stuff, but it’s not quite like the fresh stuff. Still very good, will keep buying if we have a weak morel season.

Best on web
I have purchased morels online in recesnt years due to the ash borer problem that killed so many ash trees, affecting the morel population. Last year I tried this vendor and they were the best so far. Med to Lrg, and not burn morels. I have just got another lb, as they are the best you can get on the web. You also can't beat the price.

Dirty and buggy
I pick almost every year. This spring I couldn't. I would say at least 30-40% of what is in here should have been thrown back, there are some riddled with worm holes, like not just a few, but covered. There are many that were cut too low with dirt clinging to them that is going to make anything gritty regardless of how many rinses they get. I've bought bulk commercial morels two other times in my life, and they were nowhere near this poor quality, it looks like these folks just dried everything the commercial buyer wouldn't accept and threw it all in a bag. Super disappointed in this purchase.
