DL Professional French Manicure Clean-Up Brush, 4 Ounce

This brush is really great!! The price was a little high with shipping, but I couldn't find this size in the beauty supply stores. I was able to find one of the little glass cups they use in the salons when they do your nails and that was really handy. Plus it was pretty cheap, maybe a couple dollars. One thing I had problems with the first time I used the brush was I used regular nail polish to clean the brush in between nails. The nail polish gunked up on the brush and I was afraid I'd ruined it. The next time, I bought some pure acetone nail polish remover and it cleaned the brush like a dream and gave my nails an even cleaner french tip! The pure acetone wasn't any more expensive than regular, so that is a plus. The only thing I would point out to users is that I tried (stupidly) to wipe the whole brush off with nail polish remover because I got some nail polish on it. That took some of the vanish off the handle and now it's not perfect, but it doesn't affect the quality of the work at all. This was a great purchase and I would recommend it. Plus, it's such a great way to get the look of a French Manicure without having to shell out $$$. Even with the cost of the brush, the little cup and nail polish and nail polish remover, it cost less than the cost of a trip to the salon. I love this brush! Everyone always thinks that I've gone to the salon!!

Even though it is not stiff, it gives the best clean up. Edit: I tried three different brands of clean-up brushes before I settled on this one (pictured is one of the brushes I was sent). I just dip it into pure acetone and use it as shown in the video to clean up nail polish, even when I have 6+ layers of polish in nail art and it gives me neat edges. I've had them for 3 years and they still work great. The video is me using it this month.

My favorite clean-up brush, I had to buy again

I chose 4 stars out of 5 because it is really great for $5 (w/o shipping costs by the way). It arrived within a week, which I was pleased with. I have two uses for this tool: as a clean up brush for my nail polish and for my french manicure polish. As a clean up brush, it works really well around the nails (I use acetone). As for a french manicure, it works good, but not perfect. I would like to get a better curved line with the nail polish, but sometimes the brush is a bit too harsh for the polish and I would have to be extra careful and gentle. Still it gets the job done and I would purchase this again for the same price.

I've recently been attempting to do my own French manicures but I do not have the steadiest hands. Enter this little brush & some acetone. I just dip this brush into acetone, blot off excess and use the brush to wipe away the unwanted polish and clean up the tip line. I use acetone to clean the nail polish off of the brush and then rinse with water, reshape the bristles, and allow to dry. So far, I haven't had any bristles shedding. I liked this brush so much that I actually purchased a 2nd one for my mom because she was so impressed with my French mani that she now wants to try it.

I use these brushes to clean up around the cuticle with acetone. The bristles don't hold up and fray really bad.

I love doing my French manicures at home using the brush-in-acetone method for cleaning up my smile lines. I'd always used cheap eye shadow brushes but they always fell apart because of the acetone breaking down the glue, so I was thrilled to find this brush specifically for the job. The price was great but for free for me (gift card). I haven't had the chance to do my nails yet as they're currently misbehaving and breaking on me. I'll have to wait until I grow them out evenly to attempt a French. But this arrived quickly and with no fuss. The bristles were soft and even and nicely arranged, not messed up. I can see it will be a bit large for my smaller pinky nails but it won't be a problem. Very happy with this brush - I'm sure it will perform beautifully.

I really like this brush but I removed one star because the bristles don't always stick together like they should to get a perfect smile line on my French manicure, I have to re-dip it in the solution. Besides that minor inconvenience I do recommend this brush because the bristles are sturdy and don't fall out of the brush like many cheap brushes do. It's also thick and compact which gives you more control over your smile line. I love this because I do my own nails and when I'm using my non-dominant hand to do my nails, having a brush with good control is very helpful. It looks like a expensive high end brush and it has been the best I have found so far. It came well packaged and did not arrive with the bristles bent in half like many of my other brushes have arrived. So if your in need of a decent, useful, nice looking manicure brush then this may be the one for you!! I like it very much.
