Must Have for Vintage Fabrics
I recently had the pleasure of using the 5-LB Pail-Restoration Hypoallergenic Powder to clean antique and delicate linens for my antique booths. As someone who specializes in selling vintage quilts, embroidered tablecloths, handkerchiefs, and doilies, I've never come across a product that works as effectively as this one.The results were truly astounding. I was genuinely shocked the first time I used this powder. The vintage doilies, which had a tired tan or brown appearance, emerged from their soak looking remarkably white. Even more impressively, this product managed to tackle the notorious old yellow or rust-colored stains that tend to plague old quilts. The transformation was remarkable – the stains were gone, leaving the linens looking rejuvenated and fresh. One of the standout features of this product is its compatibility with delicate linens. Many of the items I sell require extra care due to their fragile nature. This restoration powder proved to be gentle and safe for these pieces, effectively cleaning them without causing any damage. The key to success with this product lies in following the package directions precisely. Ensuring that the product is fully dissolved before immersing your linens is crucial. Once cleaned, rinsing the linens thoroughly is recommended. For items like large quilts, the hand-rinsing process can be time-consuming and somewhat challenging, but the incredible results make the effort worthwhile.Admittedly, I was initially taken aback by the price of the product. However, looking back, I can confidently say that it's been worth every penny. The remarkable restoration results it achieves and the ability to breathe new life into my antique and vintage linens have been invaluable for my business. In conclusion, the 5-LB Pail-Restoration Hypoallergenic Powder has proven to be a game-changer for me. Its ability to turn tired-looking linens into vibrant treasures, its compatibility with delicate pieces, and the sense of renewed value it brings to my items are unmatched. If you're looking to revitalize your antique and delicate linens, this product is a true gem. Just be prepared to invest the time and effort into proper rinsing, especially for larger pieces. Your investments will be rewarded with stunning outcomes that will captivate your customers and elevate your business.

WORKS ON ALL 1960s BARBIE DOLL FABRICS
This is mainly for doll clothes, but I'm quite sure it works on delicates too. I restore antique & vintage dolls & clothes. For many years I used well known & very very expensive product. Sadly a few years ago I found its efficacy wanting. THIS product is amazing. It's much much less money & works perfectly. Follow the directions! Used it so far on antique clothing, Alexander and Vogue Doll clothes, & for me the hardest to clean and restore, the vintage 1960's Japan Barbie & family clothes. No fading, restores colors better than any other product I've ever used. Stains removed, whites restored, great on synthetics, even on Barbie's velvet slacks and Ken's wool clothes. Completely restored to pristine white, Ken's cotton sailor suit which was not only nicotine stained but filthy. If soaked & gently agitated in the clear jars I use & then properly rinsed, you can finger shape, so no ironing is needed.Tips: Stir to disolve product in very warm water, then let it cool to room temperature prior to using. Always color test! Before soaking bright colors in this product, soak in white vinegar & water. Then do several clear water soaks until you can no longer smell the vinegar-then soak in this product. Also you MUST thoroughly rinse the fabrics by soaking in a bowls of clear cold water several times. If your cottons were limp before soaking & you want to add spray sizing, do so after the final rinse. I actually spray the sizing into the last rinse. If you have liquid sizing (not starch), I'd love to know where you get yours! I love this stuff. I bought five pounds!

Have FIVE kids (FOUR boys) and have tried everything under the sun…
My sister in law’s mother offered to try and get some stains out of one of my boys baby clothes so I could pass it to my new nephew. They’d been in the attic for several years. Some were new with tags and still yellowed from the heat and apparently improper storage. Anyway, she returned them days later looking like they came straight off the rack from a boutique. Pristine. She finally shared her secret by dropping off a 2 lb small container of it. I’ve either bought in bulk (4 2 lbs at a time) and have recently purchased 2 of the 5 lbs because that is how much I use this stuff! Have ever only used it on kids clothes and 99% of the time, it works magically. The only material I’ve found is resistant to it is rash guard type, stretchy fabric. Not sure what the stain was on this yellow swim top but I soaked it 2-3 times and where it definitely faded the red, it also faded the yellow. Another warning would be not to soak 2 things of contrasting colors at the same time. I’ve done it a few times and once it bleeds onto another material, I’ve never been able to get it fully out again. But other than that, I am obsessed with this stuff!!

Expensive but worth it
This stuff is expensive and becomes even more expensive since the shipping isn’t covered by Prime - but I’ve tried other brands that are cheaper and here I am back to the expensive brand. This is definitely an instance of you get what you pay for. This is simply the best whitening/stain remover out there.

Restores Like New
I have purchased this product many times in the past because it is so effective at removing yellowing stains on stored clothing, table linens, etc. I recently "discovered" 36-year-old baby clothes in my basement, and Restoration beautifully made them wearable again (those that are still fashionable of course 😉). It does require very hot water in order to work best, so for colored items, I simply let it cool for a while after mixing and then soak. Highly recommend!

Did the job!
Absolutely did the job! I had received antique appliqué pieces from a family member who had them in storage for 30 or more years. They were yellowed and stained. I got them so clean that the fabric I purchased to complement them was too dark! Highly recommend this product!
