Reliable and Precise Fillet Knife
I’ve been really happy with the Dexter-Russell P94812 Fillet Knife. The 7-inch blade is super sharp and flexible, which makes filleting fish so much easier and more precise. I like how lightweight it feels in my hand, and the grip is comfortable, even during longer prep sessions. It’s also really easy to clean, which is always a bonus. Whether I’m cleaning up a fresh catch or working on something in the kitchen, this knife has been a solid and dependable tool. Definitely worth it for anyone who needs a reliable fillet knife.

Great knife
Works great! Comfortable yet very sharp and will cut through meat like it’s butter. The price is great for such a great knife to have in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend anyone have one on hand especially if they cut any kind of meats.

Decent for the money
This is the new line of knives for Dexter Russell titled: Basics. Not exactly what I was expecting at first. I've become accustomed to the generous amount of steel Dexter Russell uses for the blades. This knife, however, does not have much steel. I was actually very sad at first because I've never held a Dexter Russell knife before that felt so light weight. I was really REALLY sad (almost as sad as when I found out trump was elected) when I discovered that the handle didn't have the trademark Dexter Russell branding; and that's when I noticed the Basics branding on the blade... I will say this: the knife has been up to par with other Dexter Russell knives I possess. I like that the steel they used for the blade is very high-quality. The blade has a very shiny look to it and seems to be of a very durable steel composition. The blade was decently sharp? Idid have to hone it a bit which I found quite odd given it was brand new... Upon discovering the Basics branding, I was mostly concerned the knife was no longer made here in the US of A, but thankfully, it is! Bottom line: Good filleting action. For the money, I am very pleased. When you think about it, you also can’t expect to get more steel than you do for the price point. I purchased a $26 Dexter Russell knife about six years ago and I expected this one to be of the same heft, but I paid less than half for this one, so, you get what you pay for! And I mean this in a good way! Happy slicing!

Great price
Knife is sharp and priced right. The handle is a little bigger than what I’m used to but it still feels good.
