Not just for Kids these are great for Adults with arthritis in their hands too!
These knives are very sturdy, securely connected to the handle. The blade is firm when pressure is applied without any wobble or bending of the blade. The green on has a flat edge making it perfect for scraping over the inside of a can to get the last drops of product from inside. The blue one has a partial serrated edge and is wonderful also for cutting without a lot of pressure. I have a lot of deformity in my hands causing pain when using most kitchen utensils. However, these knives have a wider handle and ergonomically designed thus easy for me to hold. Also, these have a short blade and with the wider handle make them very functional and easy to use. My dog is on a special urinary care diet and the canned dog food is very dry and not able to be scooped out of the can with a spoon or fork like most canned dog food that has some liquid or gravy in the recipe. I found these while looking for a knife to cut the product out from the can in slices and these are perfect for the job. The ad listing states these are Kids Chef Knife Set and I believe these would be wonderful for kids because they do not have a traditional sharp knife edge. I recommend these for ease of use, quality, sturdiness and comfort while in use.

Great for young kids!
My son is 3 1/2 and this set is perfect for him. He loves helping and is always wanting to cut things with me. These are the perfect size for little hands and sharp enough to cut apples, celery, peppers, bread, etc but still safe enough to allow him to use without worry. I appreciate that there is a serrated and non-serrated option and notice him assessing which he thinks will work best. Would definitely recommend to other parents!

Excellent Learning Knife
I bought this knife for my daughter last year when she turned 3. She loves to help out in the kitchen, and this allowed her to take another step toward helping with meal prep as well as cutting her own food at the table. In the kitchen she chops vegetables for soups and other dishes. Carrots and potatoes are her favorites to cut. She has even managed to cut very thin carrot slices with it. She's never had any kind of injury from this knife. The blade is made such that it would be pretty difficult to cut skin, but I wondered if it would slip off of a carrot and cause a blunt injury of some kind. Hasn't happened. She's able to cut all kinds of raw and cooked vegetables, as well as cooked meats, though this takes a little more effort and does not produce a clean cut. The knife has held up well over the last year's worth of washings in the dishwasher and still looks like new. It seems very well made and my daughter loves it. I highly recommend this for children who are ready to start learning knife skills.

Buying another set
Love these knives. My 2.5 year old was upset that his knives didn’t cut and he couldn’t prep dinner with me. I love the design of the dog. The first use he understood not to touch the dogs face (the blade). Amazon won’t let my upload a second video showing that will it cuts food (mango in the video) it doesn’t cut skin. I’m buying a set for my mother in laws house

First learning eating knife
Bought for my grandson to use. Great learning tool. Handle has face so they understand how to hold. Not sharp for injuries. Price is ok for product.

Cute, safe, yet effective
Works well for my two year old toddler. It cuts veggies fairly well but the serrations aren’t sharp, so gives me a piece of mind. Encourages kids to learn slicing motion as opposed to just pushing down.

Excellent and SAFE
I have a five year old who always wants to use our big chef's knife--but she is definitely not coordinated enough to do this safely, not least because she tries to chop as quickly as she sees her parents doing it. She is loving these knives. They're well made, sturdy, and sharp enough to cut some firmer items like potatoes (particularly with the serrated blade). We had previously purchased some of those brightly colored plastic knives that you see for kids to practice but honestly they're worthless--they can't cut through anything with more substance than a strawberry. Very happy with my purchase!

Awesome safe tools for kids
These are fantastic for teaching kids basic "sharps" skills. Easy to handle, fun and totally safe yet they really can cut slice and snip without putting little fingers at any risk. They can cut things as solid as raw carrots, mushrooms and radishes yet cannot cut fingers. Its not that there is a guard ( there is ) but they somehow found the perfect width blade that cuts hard foods (and soft) without being a flesh threat. Plus the cute shapes and bright colors appeal to kids. sturdy and easy to handle even for a 3 yr old. My kids LOVE being able to help with prepping dinner with these..

I gave this to my less than 3 year old grandson who loved it. His 5 year old brother immediately wanted one like it. The tip is blunt, and I gently pulled the knife across my hand- no pain. Obviously, children that age need to be supervised even with a "safe" knife like this. While it works well for 3 or 4 year olds, I think even older children will still enjoy using it- depending on how used they are to using these kind of things. I would expect children to have outgrown this knife by age 8. Definitely recommend as a first real dinner and helping in the kitchen knife.

My 2 1/2 year old found this knife very easy to use and it’s easier to cut or “sharper” than another brand of kid‘s knife I have purchased. I like how the shape of the blade is flat against the chopping board.

Recomendable
