I've researched EVERY type of rolling kitchen island. THIS is the one you want.
I don't think I've ever reviewed anything, but this cart has literally increased our quality of life in the kitchen. TL;DR: This is a SOLID WOOD kitchen cart with versatility, and best BANG for your buck in any kitchen with limited space and storage. I HIGHLY recommend having a ratchet driver plus the bit. Let me preface that I did over 3 months of reviewing every cart offered on amazon and some outside of amazon when moving to our smaller apartment, because we would be having SIGNIFCANTLY less counter and storage space. Main concerns: height. build quality. size. PROS: BUILD: This is REAL SOLID wood. outside of some of the drawer bottoms, everything is some type of solid wood-- which was our biggest gripe with searching for other budget carts. HEIGHT: It turns out this is the perfect height for chopping, prepping, etc. I am 6'1" and I enjoy where this sits. It was much more practical in real life than when "measuring" it out before buying. VERSATILITY: The side leafs are so so so helpful when prepping for any meal. I can't emphasize this enough. When the side leafs are down, it stores anywhere nicely, and when I need more space, it takes 10s to pop both up. In the photo, I finished using the leafs for prepping, and brought the cart to the stove CASTERS are so smooth and heavy duty. SO many of the other cart offerings were just too cheap in materials in every department... this cart doesnt skimp. STORAGE: I have all my knives plus some misc measuring cups and other things organized with some metal trays. In the middle section, i have my 3 main pans. And in the bottom cabinet I store oils and tall bottles in a wicker basket plus ALL of my cutting boards. CONS: Some of the holes can be a little tight during the building process. Tolerances are not 100% tight, but thats to be expected. As mentioned above, I highly recommend having some type of ratchet for getting all the screws in or your forearms are in for a treat. Due to tolerances being a little off, one cabinet door rubs slightly on the shelf above. but nothing harsh enough to cause damage.

Get rid of second thoughts, buy this one!!
This this is FREAKING AWESOME. I'm big into cooking, like, I loooooove cooking all the time and this cart made my life so much easier. The Short version: Almost perfect height for me! (5'9). It's about an inch below my waist, so I just have to extend my arms slightly longer than what feels perfect. I don't know/think if it'll work for taller people to be honest. but for me, It's almost perfect. Assembly was pretty easy with two, but you need two people or a lot of creativity with one. Nice and sturdy, awesome storage below. Locking wheels make sturdy prep and chopping. Lots of counter space when extended, compact for storage when folded. The long version: This cart literally changed my life. I'm in a 1 br apt, and I felt like the kitchen was cramped, this cart solved all of my issues. Now my microwave has a counter top, and this cart allows me to still prep and cook! I use the middle shelf for my cutting board and ramekins, and below I have 4 pots, a manual mandoline slicer, a freaking food processor (just the container not the whole thing) and there's STILL MORE ROOM. The storage space in the bottom section baffles me with how much it can hold. The collapsible wings are AMAZING. I don't quite know the limitations of it because it doesn't say how much weight the wings can hold so I've gone conservative with what I'm putting on there. (literally the only down side but I'm still giving 5 stars because of how awesome this thing is.) this thing expands to a fantastic length that I use for mies en plas. (although I avoid raw meat prep on it because wood) Last night I was able to get all of my ingredients and a cutting board on this thing with both wings expanded, then folded it up and tucked it out of the way to make the most of my space. I have used this every day since I got it and I'm never going back.

Perfect Cricut Maker Storage
I bought this kitchen cart as storage for my Cricut Maker and all of it's accessories, tools, vinyl, etc. The cart is absolutely PERFECT. The Cricut machine fits well, even with side leaves down (as seen in photos). The cart was easy to build - I built it all by myself other than one step where I needed another person to support one of the heavy wood sections from the front as I screwed it in from the back. Literally my only complaint is the cheap allen wrench that came with the cart. I got about halfway through the build and the wrench no longer worked - just the effort of screwing half the screws had stripped the wrench itself. I had to use my personal allen wrench set to finish the job. (none of the screws had stripped, but the wrench had lost it's edges to grip) This cart is solid wood other than a few of the side panels, but even so, it is HEAVY and rock solid. The casters are heavy duty to support its weight, I was happy about that as well. I was able to fit a 16x10 and a 16x8 storage bin to hold the vinyl in the open area, which also fit perfect. There is a small metal bar that goes across the back, which will keep the bins in place. I am extremely pleased with this purchase - this was cheaper than "specialized-for-Cricut" storage from local craft store that is all particle board junk. In conclusion: Solid wood, solid made and heavy. Have your own set of allen wrenches on hand when the one provided craps out. Even so, i would definitely buy again – Great kitchen (or any other storage) cart!

Perfect little kitchen island for a condo! The cabinet and drawer have ample space, and the drop-leaf design is perfect to have extra surface space when you need it, or to save space when you don't. It is mostly solid wood, and the assembly was manageable for one (female) person. The wheels have held up well so far, and it has the look and feel of a solid/sturdy piece. No complaints on this one.

When I looked at this, I thought, "pressboard." ... but, I was completely wrong!! It's mostly solid beechwood, except for the 3 bottom panels that make up the closed cabinet at the bottom. Once assembled, it's incredibly sturdy. I've been using this in the kitchen as a movable island for about a year and it's quite perfect. The locking casters actually lock. The drawer and the doors to the cabinet are solid beechwood. No issues with sturdiness despite it being relocated almost daily. The leaves continue to work as designed, despite being a relatively unique design. Very happy with it - well worth the $$$.

Assembly was straightforward and it’s a very solid piece of furniture. However the wheels are garbage. The hole for the caster was cut too big and makes for a sloppy fit. The wheels seem to want to pop out as you’re moving it along. We had to take them off and will try to manufacture something to hold them in tighter. If it wasn’t for the wheel issue I would give this 5 stars.

This cart is attractive and made of mostly solid wood. It adds a lot of workspace and the drop leaves allow a bigger surface and a compact form. It is fairly sturdy, but can be made more so with a few extra screws. Assembly took 2 competent males about 2 hours. They thought Ikea had much better instructions, but this looks better than comparable Ikea furniture. Overall, I recommend this kitchen cart as handy, solid, functional and attractive.

I have a small kitchen space so I bought this for my dehydrator. Love this kitchen cart! The main counter is the perfect fit for my large dehydrator. The drop leaves make it smaller to fit in smaller spaces, yet give me the option of more working space. The wheels are lockable and allow me to move the heavy dehydrator where ever I want it!! Cupboard space on bottom fits my Pampered Chef Quick Cooker and still room for a few other things. Shelf space has room for cook books or smaller items to store. The drawer Awesome! All around this was the perfect choice for me. Made out of solid wood! Everything is, there is no composite boards anywhere on it. I put it together myself, took a couple of hours. Hardest part was the shelf insert, but a little bit of creative thinking and it worked out just as good as 4 hands. 5 Star. Love it.
