Nice featured charger
I have many chargers for 21700, 18650, C, AA, AAA and 123R. This one is nice and simple and will keep one of the two in the car for emergencies. Fits 21700 which was a must have for some of the flashlights. Easy to regulate the 3 charge levels of .5, 1.0 or 2.0 A. Shows voltage & charge level also. Can also be used with a second cord to charge "devices" from your batteries which is how you discharge your batteries. Very nice & handy when you don't want to pull out a big charger. Again it it fits a 21700 which is the largest battery I have.

Best option for recharging batteries.
I use this to recharge all my batteries that can be charged. It displays voltage and ah as being charged. It displays 5 bar charging status and you can adjust your charging amperage rate from .5a to 2a. If you have fenix flash lights like I do and the big style 18650 3400ah batteries, this along with the 5v 2a power adapter is the only thing that will fully charge your battery. I charged my 3400ah battery with the normal USB connection and it took 3.5 hrs to show completed. Then I took that same battery and installed it in this monitor. The voltage was 3 bars and 3.29v, not even fully charged. I then charged it with the new 5v 2a power adapter and it took 1.5 hrs but charged it up to 4.20 volts. Batteries last longer now and my devices love a fully charged battery. I can't say enough about this product. It also has over voltage protection, will not continously charge once fully charged. Good for the batteries. Great product, must purchase correct power adapter as I mentioned....5v 2a output.

Perfect 18650 & 21700 charger
I like the Fenix ARE-D1. It has just one slot which makes the whole unit very small. All of it's functions worked smoothly as both a charger and power bank. I typically keep one battery in my Fenix or Zebra light and one in the charger. If I use the light during the day I just switch batteries when I get home at night.I also just purchased the XTAR VC2S is a bit smaller than other 2 slot chargers. All charging functions worked as expected. The power bank will drain both battery positions whereas others only worked with one slot. So, pretty happy with the XTAR VC2S which worked perfectly. These chargers are easy to work with as they use existing USB power sources which these days are everywhere. The older technology charges usually required a separate power supply. The chargers where the power supply was built in are often large and require a AC power cord.

Purchased to recharge Nitecore NL1834 18650 and Nightwatch NS73V2 original unprotected 21700 40A
It's compact so easy to carry when traveling. I am able to charge the batteries using Ravpower 90w 30,000 power bank without any issue.I purchased this item specifically to recharge Nitecore NL1834 3400mAh Rechargeable 18650 Battery for my Nitecore HC50 headlamp. Also the ultra high output Nightwatch NS73V2 flashlight's original unknown brand unprotected 21700 battery (40 to 50A output). Both batteries charges without any issue. The charger came with regular USB (for discharge) and micro USB (for charging), if only it has USB-C and a folding wall plug, it's be perfect.PLEASE NOTE: the button is to change charging voltage. I did not know the first time and was wondering why it charges so slow.

Simple and Sweet
Charges the batteries perfectly. I like the crisp display. Don't pay too much attention to the numbers, I don't understand them.

Great charger if you only have a few batteries
This is a versatile charger if you only have several rechargeable batteries with light usage. There is a status display and button that shifts between Amp rating, Voltage, Amp-Hrs, and charging time elapsed; a useful feature instead of just a red or green indicator light. Since it has a usb connection for power it is best to use an outboard power supply rated for 2 amps or more; it can be powered from a computer but will take a long time to charge a depleted or large capacity cell like a 18650 or 26650. It's small size makes it convenient for travel and Fenix is a great company to deal with.

I love this thing
This device performs several extremely useful functions for me:***Charges 18650 cells......it has even revived a few thought to be dead***Charges 2170 cells***Acts as an iPhone battery backup......yes, it will charge my iPhone from an 18650 or 2170 while I wait. Fits easily in my pocket along with the phone!***Serves as a quick Volt meter - quickly tells me state of charge for any of the dozens of lithium cells I haveFINAL COMMENTS:Display is really clear and logical. Button gives you a few seconds to adjust charging rate before changing to display the voltage reading.I like the idea of having 3 levels of charge although I tend to accept the default 1.0A rate. This is a relatively rugged little unit and feels much more durable than a competitor product I own.Hope this review is helpful!
