I buy waterproof dry bags for use in my boat and when we go camping. You can put dry towels, clothes, medications, your cell phone or whatever you want in these bags and the contents stay dry. if you close the bags per the manufacturer's instructions, you can even use these bags to help you float if your watercraft should sink. These are not Coast Guard approved as a life preserver but they will float and that could help keep your head above water. I took this on a scuba diving trip to Honduras, used it multiple times over course of two weeks everyday. Hauled my essential gear wallet, towel sunglasses, snack, drink etc. on an open bow diving boat shared by 6 other divers. To say everything gets wet is an understatement! This bag performed flawlessly, it’s built well and good quality I’d imagine I could do the same trip several dozen times and beyond and get the same performance. Kept everything dry and as an added bonus the orange color made it very easy to see amongst everything else that was a big plus! I’m very satisfied with this bag !

bought nov 22 2022as noted below, i sadly had to cut the shoulder straps off as this was always bought w intention of usage inside my 36l outdoor products hiking backpackwell, this dry bag still works welll as the durable inner gab for my hiking backpackstill keeps contents dry when neededhelps reduce wear/tear on my hiking backpacks rather thin bottomwill buy as a beach bag when i need a beach bag as im surrounded by 'emg8 bag g8 valueoh and it is now juen 13th 2023 as of this review update, daily usage in my backpacknote i have not clipped it shut daily - that only done a couple of times so cannot speak to buckle durability but they seem like your standard heavy duty plastic buckles so i dont see why they would ever failno reason to buy sea to summit brand or similar as this bag is as good albeit far heavier but mabye this brand sells a lighter version/thinner version. agian this bag is made to be a stnadalone dry bag in a kayak etc i think. so much thicker than my 5L sea to summit bag (which has withstood 8 years of use as my 13 inch laoptop bag)Sadly the straps are not removableseriously i am sad about this as they are so thick and well made i was sad to cut them off lolwhy?cuz they are so heavy, so padded, that they added seemingly a half or 2/3 lb to my backpackthis dry bag is perfect for my 36L hiking backpack with just 1 pocket.i put this 40L dry bag in and it def will add durability esp to bottom of my backpack as i carry electronics laptops etc in iti didnt want to cut the straps cuz of how nice n sturdy they seemed but had tothe folding top and closure buckles seem heavy dutythe bag is thick dunno thickness but a couple to seve mm??my sea to summit 5L drybag is prob a 1/3 thick but then again thatbag is meant for inside a backpack or other bag and not as a standalone bag i thik.this orang 40l could easily last by itself - a reviewer in Hi said they've used it for a long time which is why i bought it - they said it lasted beaches salt air etc so i know it can last inside a backpack lolanit is same thickness if not more as my 20L dry bags from Outdoor products - a value brand you can get at walmart whose products all have LIFETIME warranty!!! OP products is also my backpack brand. i have 3 of their bakcpacks. they will always replace your item even years later. i knos cuuze ive done this on 2 items. one was for a frayed chsest strap & other leaking water puch. - point is this 40L orange bag seems as good as OP...will update over time and nope aint gonna fix typos lol

Compfortable to carry, and fit everything we needed well. We used it in dusty, muddy and extreme wet conditions and had everything inside stay clean, dry and protected. We did not submerge the bag, as its obvious, that it is not 100% waterproof. Highly recommend getting one for any type of recreation outing you like to do. Just be sure to get a size appropriate for your gear.

This bag is amazing. Not too big - the perfect size to put all your stuff in. Used it for a white water rafting trip and it was super reliable. Keeps everything dry and floats well. AND the size I got (5L) has a shoulder strap, so that makes it easy to carry around. Recommend if you often go kayaking/paddleboarding, etc.

I contacted the seller to make sure this reaches on time and they were prompt enough to reply. When I finally recieved it ahead of schedule, I noticed that the bag is not exactly what I was expecting. I wrote to them and see if I could switch to the sling ones instead. They were happy to help -polite and very helpful seller. Highly recommended. As with the bag, quality looks top notch and hopefully would last me longer.
