Great Game
I loved this game series since it's release of the very first game. Great futuristic role playing game, and 3rd person shooter. It has a unique feel to it, especially when you transfer your character from each game to the next. I easily have over 500 hours playing through as different classes, as well as genders to see the different sides of the storyline, also making small adjustments to my decision making to change the outcome later on. Only issue is the adjustment of the mouse sensitivity, that part seems to lack compared to other games. I have a gaming mouse, so i found it a bit easier due to having 5 different dpi settings. But, for someone using a standard mouse, they may find it a bit harder to find a good sensitivity that you can use. I have had this product going on 3 years between multiple systems. The installation is quick fairly fast on pc, as well as the updates through origin.

Packaging was impeccable and the Game case was in perfect condition. Origin's failures
First note: Product shipped on time and arrived exactly when it said it would. Packaging was impeccable and the Game case was in perfect condition.EA and Origin's failures:This review pertains to the functionality of the product only, not the game itself as I haven't been able to play it yet. You are required to install and use Origin to install the software, which in and of itself is not necessarily bad, just irritating. I have read the reviews about some people getting bad media, and I believe I am one of them. My experience: Insert disc one for Mass Effect, Origin is installed from the DVD, you're asked to create account, I did so, you're asked to enter the product code, I did so, this is the first error, no explanation, just says "General Error - Try again later" I found out through trial and error that the version of Origin installed was not the "latest version" and this was the reason for the error. Updated to the latest version and my product code was finally accepted and all 3 games show registered within Origin. However the installation from the DVD immediately failed with no explanation other than "installation failed" So I tried again, it asks for my product code again and then immediately fails because the product code is "already used" so I am forced to download 10gigs, I try that , I leave it running overnight, it just decides after downloading a gig and a half to pause itself for no apparent reason. So... I decide to just move on and install ME2, "disc read failure".. ok.. whatever, maybe I'll just install ME3 . "please enter your product code" (you only get one!) - surprise! "This product code has already been used" so basically the DVD's are glorified Frisbee's / paper weights. Do not waste your money on the DVD's, if you want this game. Download it, or better yet, don't buy any products by Origin at all if this is the best they can do. I know I'll never buy another Origin product. Should have took advice from the prior reviews and saved the time, money, headache.Maybe it's a great game, who knows. May be weeks before I get to play it attempting to get past all the incompetence that went into producing this debacle of a product....Sincerely,A frustrated customer. You are now ready to chat with EA Support TechEA Support TechThanks for holding, my name's ****, with Electronic Arts. FYI, discs may not install.
A few notes for prospective purchasers. This is an excellent game, one of the best modern RPGs. I have found zero fault with the actual gameplay, it is pretty awesome. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of RPGs.This particular package, however, you must be aware that the discs may not install. I was only able to get ME1 to install correctly off of the disc. ME2 and ME3 both failed. However, I am still rating this 4 stars, because I was able to get ME2 and ME3 to install anyway. The game comes with the Trilogy CD Key, which is arguably the most important piece. The games themselves can be downloaded and installed directly off of Origin, with the included DLCs. This is what I did.If you do not have a decent internet connection or aren't willing to download multi-gig installation files, then this package is not for you. If this isn't a problem, then go for it. I only bought it because it was the least expensive way to acquire all three games. Otherwise, I would be perfectly content to purchase it 100% digitally. Finally, the package arrived much sooner than expected. Because this ships from the UK, Amazon estimated a 3-6 week window for delivery. I had it in hand in 8 days. Kudos to the seller on prompt shipping!

Mass Effect Trilogy Fails
I love Mass Effect. This series is the most incredible game I have ever played. I find new things every time I send another character through the series...and I have done a lot of characters! I just got a Windows 8.1 PC so I bought this trilogy series in hopes there would be no compatibility difficulties. I noticed one buyer had trouble with disc two. Well, my disc one failed halfway through its very slow install. All my old version single editions ended up working just fine. I cannot recommend the trilogy (which is also without a ton of DLC). Buy the games...skip the trilogy (and don't forget all that great DLC).

Three Stars
Would it have killed EA to make them gamepad compatible?

This is an excellent game series with good storyline.
All three are great games. Played one character through all three games and enjoyed the interaction that was available with the other in-game characters.

Don't bother!!
I bought this trilogy as a package, so it came with one product code. The first game installed fine, the second failed halfway through. The third demanded the product code again, then wouldn't accept it because it's "already in use". When I tried to contact Origin help, the only options they had were telephone calls or "live chat" that they never connected. Completely useless all around, and I paid for a game I'll never get to play. This is my first experience with Origin, and it will be my last, too.

Awesome Series, but only time will tell.
Well considering I already own Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Steam, I thought to myself, Hey I might be able to by pass Origin with physical copies of the Mass Effect Trilogy. I was wrong. I can not express my concerns well enough on how much I hate Origin. I am the type of person that would type out a 6000 word blog post, regarding my concerns. So while I'm ranting and raving, on my extreme hate on Origin, I have to use there software in order to play the Mass Effect Trilogy. Use there server to install the game and install there software in order to play the Mass Effect Trilogy, which I am strongly against, but this is suppose to be a positive review about Mass Effect and not ranting about Origin. On three separate try's and installation's of the Mass Effect Trilogy and about 30 mins to an hour installation. Origin forced itself closed when trying to install Mass Effect, my only assumption is that I had to put the second disk in so it could continue installing, but there was no prompt for it. I also going to say, that I did install 1 game at a time, not all three at once, taking that equation out of the problem. It got to the point I had to download all three games off there server at 10 and some odd GB's each, which make the disk's it came with completely useless. Again, trying not to be a Negative Nancy about Origin, but stuff like this, gives you a bad name. While playing the first game, it does not like to be out of Full Screen mode. I don't know if the game is that old, if it doesn't like Windows 8, never had I have had constant problems from any game on Origin or the 100s of games I have on Steam like this. It is getting to the point, that this game is almost unplayable. At least the first game any ways. Thanks again Origin, for making me hate you even more.So here's an edit it has know came to the point I have to reinstall Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Steam, on the grounds, Mass Effect 1 doesn't seem to work on Origin. Got a slew on problems and for the time it did work, didn't seem like I did anything or accomplish anything. Basically had to quick save every 5 or 10 minutes. To progress anywhere and then trying to reload the game from the start menu seemed not to work and the screen would just blink and flash at the loading screen. So I'm going to redo the first game and second game on Steam first.I also have decided to use origin's patch and update service, as well have also ran there validate files and problem shooter. Still the game still doesn't seem to work. The only thing I never did was contact Origin on the problem, but for what it's worth I will just beat the two games on Steam.Problem Number 2, leads with Canada Post. Being in Northern Canada, we have extreme weather conditions. For the last two weeks it's been about -46 Celsius with a wind chill give or take a few degrees. In case people didn't realize, that's about 25 degrees before lawyers in hell freeze over.So because I wasn't home due to work and no one was home to receive the package for real life issues, it sat in my mailbox, with the lid open on the grounds of the size of the Amazon package and because I had other mail in my mailbox, for the duration it was delivered to the time I picked it up and brought it inside which is about 6 to 8 hours. If it wasn't for the fact it was air tight and sealed, I doubt it would have survived. Thank you packaging people at the warehouse, my props, to you. As it is I am installing the trilogy after letting it thaw out for about half an hour, and you can tell even in my disk drive it is struggling to install. So I am not impressed on this at all.On a positive note, I am a fan of the series in general, I've beaten Mass Effect 1, played half way through 2 and only played multiplayer of 3. So this will be interesting. I might as well uninstall Mass Effect 1 and 2 off Steam, because I heard Origin gets picky with save files and conversions from 2 to 3.The product itself comes with 6 disks, two disks for each game, and installation and a play disk I am only assuming, one serial key that apparently is good for all three games and the extended cut DLC of Mass Effect 3, and with Origin, I'm going to basically say, "I will believe it when I see it type of thing."So in conclusion and despite the set back's mentioned above, I am going to recommend it and time will tell how I feel about this whole experience with Origin but I am being left very sour.Till Then, take care, Happy Gaming and Happy New Year!Christopher Pord

Amazing games but disc/license issues
The games are worth 5 stars each, but this disc set is flawed. Only the first game would install from disc. With the 2nd & 3rd, one wouldn't accept the license code because it was already used to install the 1st game, and the other had a disc error and was unreadable (I can't remember which was which). I ended up having to download the digital versions of the other 2, which doesn't cost any extra, but my slow and metered internet service was why I wanted the discs.

Great game, not 'complete' Trilogy'
I got the game for my self, hoping that I would get all the DLCs, since it is supposed to be complete. Not so, you still have to shell out money to download 'extra content'. Which seems rubbish, since the game is has been out for sometime now. Great game, but not worth spending money for physical copies. Which is sad cuz, digital downloads of the game offer more if not all the DLCs.
