There are probably few of us left who are still using the MX980 Remote, but mine is working like new after ten years of heavy daily use.On the off-chance this might help someone else, I was having an intermittent issue that eventually turned out to be attributed to a “tired” emitter or flasher. I had seen some negative reviews on similar batteries somewhere, that briefly affected my troubleshooting skills. When the new battery failed to resolve my issue, I was about to write a negative review on the new replacement battery. The MX980 and the 350 Base Station have had heavy use for over ten years without a hiccup, so the battery became the scapegoat. Eventually I unplugged the emitter mini plugs from the base station and cleaned ten years of dust away from hard to access areas, and the problem was resolved. Probably a bit of oxidation on the mini plugs and/or dust.Symptoms with my remote were mimicking a faulty battery, but now all is well and after ten years it was time for a new battery anyway, with a much higher ampacity than the URC OEM battery.Nothing to do with front panel placement of emitters. It was strictly a mini plug issue at the base station. The MX980 will do everything but flush my toilets. Life is good and these batteries are a bargain at twice the price.

Works as described

Our remote control started having problems. I measured the battery voltage of the remote and it was strong, so I didn't think it needed a new battery, but I bought this one and the remote is now working again.

This battery is a direct replacement to the battery that was in you MX990 remote. When swapped out it adds longer useful life to your MX990 remote. You only have to recharge it in the MX990 cradle about every 3 days; not every night.

Works fine in URC remote MX890

Did not work at all in my universal remote. Would not take a charge.

Works perfectly, fits great. I normally use the OEM batteries for these remotes, but they have become very expensive and harder to find at my distributor. This was an easy solution for a bad (bulging) battery. Great value, and it fit the remote properly.

Slightly larger than original. Tough to get in and out.
