Loma Vista Hot New Mexico Red Chili Powder, 8 Ounces

This is great for chili or homemade enchilada sauce/gravy. Nice and spicy! I keep it in the freezer in a freezer bag or container as the bag once opened can tear easily .

I grew up in the 505 and love NM red and green. This powder produces a more smokey flavor than I prefer as my go to but it’s great when we want to change it up. Goes really well with carne adovada

My family LOVES a big bowl of chilli, but they don't like it too hot. This is perfect to add to a chilli made with mild chilli powder to get just the right amount of heat. It arrived fresh, well packaged, and compared to other brands was a great value for the money. Looking forward to making a lot of good food with this chilli powder. I did transfer it to a sealed glass jar to keep it fresh.

This is the real McCoy. Makes terrific traditional New Mexico red chili sauce. There are good recipes online.

Not as hot as I was hoping for

I’m originally from nm. World’s greatest chili. I’ve ordered this for years. Thus time I tried 2x’s to make a batch of chili for enchiladas . Literally had to throw it out. Help

Great flavor

Very disappointed, ordered this for my daughter who moved from NM to NY and was missing red chili. This powder had no flavor or heat to it.
