JOESOEF SKIN CARE Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid for Acne

I have been dealing with some kind of acne for a while now. It has gotten so bad that I haven't wanted to leave the house. I tried everything. Eventually I found this exact soap recommended of a forum online. I bought this and paired it with Disposable Face Towels, which was also recommended to ensure you are always washing with a clean towel. By using both this soap and a new disposable face towel twice a day, my face is finally starting to look SO much better. So many other acne treatment did nothing for me, plus would start my skin on fire. This has been the first product/soap to actually be gentle enough while still working. I do still have breakouts that I'm trying to figure out the source, but I am now feeling confident again. There are days my face is actually very clear of acne and glowing! I believe my face still just needs time to heal from the years of tormented acne. But I finally have hope. I use this twice a day, and it does dry my skin out some, but not enough to cause irritation. I can tell if I miss a wash with this my acne starts to creep back. It also has a pleasant fresh scent to it which is a bonus. No harsh perfume smell.

This stinks like sulfer but it cleared my stubborn chest acne so, so fast. I recommend using it at night before bed so you don't smell like eggs during the day. But boy, is it effective at clearing acne.

Best face soap I have ever used. It's the only one I will use now. Plus it lasts FOREVER. My hormonal acne is basically non existent along with my random mystery rash dermatitis. I can't recommend it enough. It doesn't smell strongly of sulfur and definitely doesn't make your skin smell fyi.

I never heard of sulfur soap and came across this looking for something to help my sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. This is now taking the number one spot as my skin remains calm even when I’m on my period. It’s not drying. I feel like I could use a higher sulfur percentage (or maybe I need to use twice a day instead of once). There is definitely a smell while using the soap but nothing too extreme. The smell lingers about an hour after washing, and is faint.

This soap works wonders on my rosacea. My skin reacts to many gentle cleansers but this one soothes and calms redness! It does feel slightly drying at first but once my skin adjusted to the product I haven’t had an issue. My skin has never been smoother or healthier! Also, a major perk is it lasts FOREVER. I’ve been using the same bar for 8 months! Highly recommend.

Winner! Stop buying harsh and complicated goo to wash your face. Those products are doing more harm, so it’s time to stop the insanity. Buy this bar, get back to basics and watch your skin repair itself.

I have been using Differin for a while, but since I was still getting some tiny pimples on my face and chest, my dermatologist recommended adding this sulfur soap to my skincare routine. I was not thrilled to see that it also contained salicylic acid, which in the past has been a bit rough on my sensitive skin, but I gave it a try anyway. THE GOOD: Within a day of using it, my problem spots purged themselves, and the overall redness on my face was reduced. The sulfur seemed to doing what it was supposed to do! THE BAD: The smell. Out of the box, it doesn't smell too bad. But after a few days it's like the perfume wears off and leaves the core smell behind. It does NOT smell like rotten eggs, but it does not smell good either. Now, I was expecting some odor since this is a sulfur soap, but I thought I could deal with that in the shower no problem. What I was NOT expecting, however, was the smell transferring from my skin to my bath towels and bed sheets, no matter how well I rinsed. My sheets and towels couldn't even make it to the end of the week without starting to reek. But the worst part? WASHING WITH REGULAR DETERGENT DOES NOT GET THE SMELL COMPLETELY OUT. So be ready to do lots of laundry, adding vinegar or some other deodorizer to your wash. FINAL VERDICT: The transferring smell problem was a deal breaker for me. I just can't afford to be changing and laundering sheets and towels multiple times a week. I won't purchase again until scientists figure out a way to retain all the good properties of sulfur while neutralizing its smell.
