Absolutely Delicious – A Daily Favourite!
I've been using the PhD Smart Plant Protein Powder (Chocolate Cookie flavour) for a few months now, and it's become a staple in my routine – I even have it on subscription! The texture is incredibly smooth, with none of the grittiness you sometimes get with plant-based proteins. It blends perfectly into shakes and even works great as a quick, satisfying breakfast. The chocolate cookie flavour is spot on – rich, indulgent, and not overly sweet. It genuinely tastes like a treat, which makes sticking to my nutrition goals so much easier. I also love how it keeps me full and energized throughout the morning. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a high-quality, delicious, and plant-based protein option. Five stars from me!

Pea protein
As Protein drinks go this one is pretty easy to mix without lumps and the flavour is good . The texture is quite chalky but I don’t mind it . Since it is the first pea protein that I have tried I can’t compare to others .

It contains artificial sweeter and tastes awaful
Terrible taste. When I looked at the ingredient list I noticed there is Splenda, it makes this Protein powder way too sweet. Also Splenda isn't very good for us in the long run. I really should have checked the ingredient list before buying...

Good consistency and taste
This vegan protein powder mixes effortlessly, leaving no clumps behind, and delivers a smooth, enjoyable texture. The chocolate flavour is rich and well-balanced, making it a pleasure to drink. Compared to other brands I've tried, this one stands out for its taste and easy blendability. It has quickly become my go-to choice, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality vegan protein powder

GREAT TASTE
I like PhD plant-based products, but the staff at the brand itself come across as pretty hapless, lazy and couldn't-care-less, so I buy PhD from Amazon. Smart Protein Plant (Chocolate Cookie) is - predictably for PhD - excellent. I make it in a hand-held shaker with warm water. The taste is perfect. The texture is smooth. The price is competitive. And, at 77%, the protein content is impressive. If you're used to protein powders, you'll probably find this one requires more water than most, but that's no big deal. Incidentally, anyone who mixes protein shakes like this with anything but water is crazy. You've pay good money for a protein-rich powder with most of the fat, carbs and sugar removed - only to put them back in again! Use water. It's enough.

Chocolate Cookie flavour is great
I've tried the chocolate cookie and strawberry/cream ones so far and I like them both. I do have a preference for the chocolate cookie one though which I usually blend into a tesco Greek style soya yogurt for added protein and it's fantastic, a bit like a pudding. For anyone looking at buying protein powder solely or mostly for dessert purposes, this isn't what it's for so don't expect it to be exactly like snarfing down something straight from the Mr Kipling factory. It's great for what I need it for and that's increasing my protein intake on a daily basis. It tastes just fine for a protein powder. The only issue I have had is with resealing the bag it comes in once it's opened. It's next to impossible to do and if this could be resolved I'd have no complaints. As our household goes through these fairly quickly, we're OK just using food bag clips to get around this issue.

One of the best vegan protein powders I’ve tried
I’ve tried a lot of vegan protein powders in the past year and it is so hard to get vegan powders that don’t have the earthy taste or are gritty. I originally tried the Salted Caramel flavour which I love but I’m so glad I’ve found the chocolate flavour- it’s now my go to. It’s so reasonably priced, really tasty, not too sweet (for me), and it is thick, but I like that and it can be thinned down. It’s definitely not lumpy how I’ve tried it: I use it in smoothies, as a shake, in oats and in yoghurt. It’s versatile and the best I’ve tried by far. I only wish they’d make a vanilla flavour and I’m not sure the packaging is as easily recyclable as it could be but I may be wrong on that! Everything else is a huge tick.

Not a fan of the flavour
I'm not a big fan of taking supplements such as this. I prefer to eat foods in a more natural state but as I live on a largely vegan diet I struggle to get enough protein naturally (there's only so many nuts and beans that you can eat). I have used Phd non smart protein before and find the flavour reasonably tolerable, so I bought this so that we could use it in cooking. Regrettably, I don't like the flavour at all. Otherwise, it's easy to mix, easy to digest - the difference between the flavour seems to be the only think that really distinguishes it from the standard vegan protein shake - and that has the added benefit of being cheaper.

I have tried several plant based protein powders, and rarely I purchase again, because I am not fully convinced by their taste or texture. In this case, I was quite pleased. I purchased the Cholate Cookie flavor and it was great, it tastes good, it solves well in water or plant based beverages (at least with my handy protein shaker), the flavor is just right, not to sweet, not too artificial. I have even used it for making cold shakes and as ingredient to add extra protein in some of my cooking recipes (brownies, pancakes and cakes). I will definitely purchase again.
