love love love this popper!
I am in LOVE with my new popper!!! I had just two unpopped kernels in any given batch, so far. (but that could be the popcorn - I used Snappy brand) I've used it on both gas and electric, and found no difference - just be sure to set the heat as recommended in the bookletI tried the chocolate chips and marshmallows mixed in, and I was amazed! it evenly coats the popcorn, in a sort of crispy chocolate glaze. so tasty, and the cleanup was easy, even with sticky marshmallow.crank is easy to turn. I recommend positioning lid so your wrist is over the cover for the large hole, as that is a spot that releases the least steam while popping. that said, it's not uncomfortable if you forget to do that.this is going camping with me this weekend - we always take a camp stove, so I didn't need one that was for over an open fire. this is one I'll use at home and away.

Turning crank gets super hot enough to burn your hands.
This is a really nice & good popcorn stove popper. It's easy to use, Easy to clean. It pops perfect popcorn & doesn't burn in the pot. Only thing is the hole on top don't really allow you to butter it after it cooks. But I love that the turning crank handle is on top of the lid. Only thing is that handle gets really hot & you will need to use a pot holding mitten to touch it otherwise you will burn your hand. Great price also. With all that being said I still like it & pleased with this purchase.

Best Popcorn Maker Ever
I purchased this on the 11th of March 2015 and cannot remember if I wrote a review or not, so here goes. This makes the very best popcorn I've ever had and I eat a lot of popcorn, sometimes even have it for dinner while watching a DVD. I use 3 tablespoons of canola oil and 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels; the kernels I use are Jolly Time Select- Premium Yellow Non-GMO which can be found here on Amazon. About a month ago, the little knob on the turning handle came off and I was having a hard time using it because I had to hold onto the piece with a pot holder, so I wrote to the company to ask about buying a replacement. Even though I was past the 2 year warranty, they immediately mailed me a whole new lid at no cost to me!! Hard to believe in this day and age but it's true. If you love popcorn, I encourage you to try one of these Zippy Pop products. So much better for you than the microwave packets and makes better popcorn than other machines and I've tried a lot of them over my 73 years.

Awesome!
I Love it! My Pop corn is great! Just like when I was a kid much better than Micwave. I am useing the white Pop corn not the husk that get in your teeth like the yellew! You put your own seasoning on it. It also pops up faster. the pan its self is thin so you have to be careful with in It is real easy to bend. Or miss shape where the lid may not fit but very easy to fix.

Does not stir corn
Wil not stirr corn and oil at all the paddles are 1/4 incl of the bottom and just go over it untill some of it pops, the stiring paddles are also 3/4 from the sides. There is no stop on the lid so as it get full you have to hold the hot lid from turning This is no better than a sause pan with a lid It does clean easy enough

Works great with the following exception
Works great with the following exception; the handle thst you use to turn it is metal and gets way too hot! It should have been made with the same stuff as the main pan handle!

Broken in two months, Small Capacity and no refund :(
I am saddened to say that I am sorely disappointed with our popcorn popper. When we purchased it for a Christmas gift we had the hopes that it would yield a larger capacity for our large family, add some fun to our kitchen with the color and hold up for more than two months. I admit that it did make good popcorn when we used it, however, the flaws outweighed the positives and now it is broken and can't be used. :(Here are my findings:1. You can only make a small batch at a time. They recommend using 1/3 of a cup of popcorn kernels, which in reality, doesn't make much. None the less, they make this recommendation because the handle won't turn the popcorn as the kernels pop. The mass of popped popcorn inside the pot stops the blades from moving through the popcorn and instead the entire lid circles around the top of the pot. This happens even with their recommended amount. For our family of six, we would have to do 3 batches for about 2-3 cups of popped corn each.2. While the popcorn was heating up every time a stray kernel would shoot out of one of the air vents in the lid. This is really minor, but I felt it was something that I took note of when we first used it and was a little surprised by as I was hit more than once by a shooting kernel!3. The manufacturer claims you can add all these seasonings etc. through the hole with the rubber lid. Great in theory, but as I mentioned in #1. Once the popcorn is popped, there isn't any room for the blades to "stir" and add these ingredients. You have to dump them into another bowl and do that separately.4. After less than 10 uses..... the knob on the handle ripped off and a blade broke off the lid as well. Both are irreparable and since it is past 30 days I cannot return or exchange the items.I DO NOT recommend this item. I feel like I wasted $50 and am left without any options to make it better.
