great taste
Not 100 percent identical to dairy, but pretty tasty fermented cashews is definitely the high end of imitation cream cheese.

Tastiest non-dairy cream cheese
I have tried every non-dairy cream cheese I can find, and Miyoko’s is my favorite. The texture and flavor are the closest to dairy cream cheese, albeit a bit tangier. It tastes amazing in recipes that call for cream cheese, as well as eaten on its own spread across a bagel or toast. It is easily spreadable, and stays tasty day after day. I feel the ingredients are cleaner than some other brands, and it doesn’t seem to mold extremely fast which is nice. I love this brand’s oat milk butter as well- they have a good understanding of how to make dairy-free food taste delicious!

Healthy alternative
Not the most realistic cream cheese alternative but probably the healthiest. Spreads easy.

Spreadable, tangy, tasty
In so glad I found something else to put on my bagels because I hate the taste of cream cheese. This still offers something creamy with a bit of flavor complexity. Does not taste like nuts or coconut.

Warning: This cheese is addictive!
The flavor of this cashew cream cheese is delicious. I’m so used to plain cream cheese so it took me a minute to adjust to the tastiness of this cashew variety. I enjoy it best on a toasted cinnamon and raisin bagel. Yum!

Smells, tastes awful + Not enough like the real thing. Tofutti is way better.
I used to use real dairy cream cheese in cooking and baking, and this awful smelling stuff should never have been marketed as a nondairy cream cheese. Yes, it is spreadable. But it's NOT VERSATILE enough bc it's smelly and has a weird texture. In essence, it STINKS like dirty gym sox. IDK why Whole Foods chose to go with this product when they already had a versatile enough nondairy product on their shelves that does not stink, that cooks and bakes exactly the same way as dairy cream cheese, and therefore can be used in both savory and sweet dishes just like the real thing. I wish they'd bring back Tofutti Cream Cheese! Nobody's paying me to say this. I am speaking from many years of personal cooking and baking experience using multiple brands. I have literally fooled dairy eaters with Tofutti. But Miyoko's smells too strongly like a stinky French or German cheese to fool anybody into thinking it is cream cheese. And it certainly does not cook or bake as nicely as Tofutti Cream cheese does.Compare the two next to a package of dairy cream cheese, and I'm sure you will be able to see what I mean immediately.

Needs additions or is too bitter
Man I wanted to like this so bad, overall I do like the flavor it was just wayyyyyyyyyyyy too bitter for me! Oh boy did I try, but each bite I had to resist the urge to scowl. So, I tried another time and added salt, that helped a lot! I was able to taste more of the flavor and less bitterness. I also tried adding just a few pieces of shredded cheese (I know, this is to avoid cheese but my LI can handle a small amount) and wow did that help!! It’s not to taste the cheese but it perfectly hides the bitterness and it made it taste delicious. I love it on an everything bagel with just a few pieces of shredded cheese on it, enough to get a tiny bit with each bite. I can actually taste the flavor without that insane bitterness! I know some people say it’s because it taste like cashews but I don’t know what kind of cashews you eat because they have never tasted anything near this bitter to me.So, sadly I can’t get myself to like it alone (and even with additions it does not taste like cream cheese but some other type of delicious spread that’s similar) but I loveee this with salt and/or cheese. Would probably taste good with pita chips too!

Delicious
Dairy is a problem in our family and we have tried many vegan cheeses. This brand is very creamy and has a wonderful taste. A favorite in our family.
