Took a chance, works perfect. Great price for a great product.
I am upgrading my MacPro 5,1 and I needed a power cable for my GPU and a USB 3 card. This card was less than almost every other card that claimed Mac compatibility, so it was like getting the video power cable for free. It works, it provides power to my USB hard drive, and the GPU cable works as intended. I haven't used the Bluetooth dongle as my cMP already has WiFi and BT so its not needed.

works great
I've now installed this into 2 separate early 2009 Mac Pro machines. Both are running OS 10.13.6 "High Sierra." Installation was simple, open the side of the computer, unscrew the 2 screws that hold down the lock clamp, press it into one of your X4 PCI slots. Put the clamp and side back on, plug in your computer and turn it on. In my case it immediately recognized it. It may not work with an older OS as I was having difficulty with it initially before I updated the OS.

A nice plug and play board for USB on an OSX powered computer
This board works like a charm, I did installed on my Hackintosh computer and work right out of the box, and it's shown as a USB3 hub as excpeted, running OSX 10.13 High Sierra. The add-in of the Bluetooth also works super fine, so don't think too much and buy it.

Work on the Mac?
When the package arrived there was no writing on the package that it would work on the Mac nor were there printed instructions for Mac use and installation. I installed them anyway and they worked. I would use this company again..

Great for Mac Pro upgrade!
Outstanding value. A great combo when you are updating a pre-2013 Mac Pro. Besides the speedier USB you can add a Radeon RX 580 with the power cable and with the Bluetooth add Handoff and Continuity.

Works on a classic Mac Pro 4,1-5,1 but with a trade off
Had this running on an upgraded cMP 4,1-5,1. Things were running flawless on OSX Mojave. I started have some issues with the computer freezing (mouse cursor will move but can't click on anything, keyboard commands frozen, and sometimes would wake with spinning beachball. I'm running dual X5680 CPU's, Radeon RX580 GPU, and 96gb RAM. Sometimes I would get my Zoom meetings freezing up too. I've reinstall Mojave twice, and took and air compresser to blow out the internals. Reseated RAM as well but no solution. So after about 6 months I removed the USB PCIe card and so far, after a week, no problems! One more thing... I noticed that my Magic Trackpad now works again! It was jumpy and disconnect constantly that I have been using a hard wired Apple Mouse. I guess the "great deal" wasn't so great (I already had the GPU cable and the bluetooth dongle never worked either). If I need a USB 3 card, I'll go with the Sonnet which is much more expensive, but the headaches with this one wasn't worth the savings. Perhaps I have a defective one and I'm not sure how long the warranty is on this. If the seller is reading this, please contact me.

Easy Peezy
Got this for my Cheese Grater Mac Pro 5,1. Worked natively out of the box. MacOS recognized it no problem. Didn’t have to install drivers. Worked out of the box in Windows 10 with my Bootcamp disk as well!

Nope.
Didn’t work in Mac Pro 4,1->5,1 with 144 firmware. Card appears in System Profiler, but that’s it. Returned immediately.
