Great Level, better customer service!
I bend conduit as an IBEW electrician where consistent, true bends are required in a timely manner. Using this level, with it's backlit display and strong magnets, the guess work is removed from the angles that conduit is bent at. Though the "on" button is a little too easily activated unintentionally, I have no other issues with the level. However, the display did produce a black spot that obscured the digital values after having the level for only 7 months. NO WORRIES! After sending a letter with pictures of the issue to Swanson, I received an email informing me that a new level was on the way. I will continue to encourage fellow trades-people to buy this level and will undoubtedly be buying more Swanson tools in the future.

Good Digital Level
I had another digital level that is no longer made and it was getting to be very touchy and hard to read. (OK, I lent it out and it came back with a film of cement on the LED.) This works very nicely. My only complaint (I'm not dinging it) is that if you lay it flat on its back, it gives you an error. This means you have to have the bottom flat against the surface you're checking. This can be hard sometimes in the sun or on the floor. My old level didn't have this "feature."

Almost Perfect Table Bender Level.
Pipe bending beast. Very nice piece. Solid, good size, weight, magnets, accuracy. Bads: watch batteries, buttons too exposed and touchy (esp. on/off) jumpy as a coked up squirrel (100ths of a degree really necc?)

It Could Have Been A Contender
This could *easily* be the best digital torpedo level made by *anyone* if it was actually accurate. I'll start with the good. The size is *perfect* for a torpedo level, and I've never seen another this size with a digital readout - huge plus!. The magnets are great for holding the level to ferrous surfaces like pipe, conduit, corner bead and the like. The backlit display is easy to read and has two digits behind the decimal for better accuracy, (more on that later). It feels like a quality tool and It looks cool with its orange anodized finish. The mediocre: The buttons depress too easily and because of the small size of the level it is easy to accidentally press a button when you didn't mean too. Now the bad. The purpose of a level is to make sure your work piece is level! I've gone through four of these and not a single one measured the same. Either the bubble(s) was off, the digital level was off, or both. No amount of calibration would correct the problem for the digital. Another inaccuracy is that if I calibrated the level and then flipped it upside down, it would no longer read the same. If I measured a slope then rotated the level 180 degrees, I would get a completely different reading. On some units, the digital display would often read erratically bouncing around by .3-.5 degrees - and that was on a rock-solid surface. The battery life of two of the units was absolutely abysmal lasting only about ten minutes of actual use. There appears to be two different digital suppliers OR two different firmware releases. When calibrating the level, one firmware release lets you calibrate for level and plumb, and the other release for level only. There is no symbol on the display when you set a reference level, so if you're not careful, you can end up with some very out of level/plumb surfaces. Given how easy it is to press the buttons, this can happen more often than you might imagine. On three of the levels I tried, some of the magnets were put in crooked, which on one unit lead to a tiny bit of rocking on a flat surface, and all of the levels had metal filings stuck to the magnets. The finish on the alloy material is not prefect with small nicks and tiny anodizing flaws. Why couldn't Swanson provide a small case to protect the digital display? Good luck finding a protective case for a level this size. Like I said at the beginning of this review, this could have been the absolute best digital torpedo level made my anyone - if it were a quality tool. These types of inconsistencies are the reason that so many Chinese made tools are poorly looked upon. That said, a big mistake many people make is to assume that the new level they just bought is accurate, when often it is not. There are plenty of videos on Youtube that explain how to check a level for accuracy. This should be the first thing you do after receiving your new level - or after you drop one.

Must be a good tool.
Someone stole it the same day it was received so it must be a good tool. Was able to use it once though and worked well. Only negative was transporting it. Any jostle and the buttons would push and turn on very easily so I would expect batteries wouldn’t last long if you don’t have a case for transport.

Must have electricians level!!!
This is the perfect level for conduit bending, it replaces all of the other levels that I own. Magnets are great and does not fall off the conduit when bending, even when you shake the pipe, compared to the craftsman torpedo level which barely stick to a 3/4" piece of conduit, and when it does stick it falls as soon as you start bending. With this level you get a perfect bend the first time and no need to waste time trying to find level ground because this level does it for you with a push of a button, you can even bend on grass or even in rain, ice or snow ( jk haven't tried in this weather yet lol). No need to waste time trying to fix an offset when its open or closed specially when your bending 2" conduit and above because you always get the perfect degree. If you thing your klein level was good? this level steps over it and kicks it in the face, it has all the degrees that you need. Not just 30 and 45, but every degree!!! Did I mention that it has .01-Degree accuracy ! Perfect size not too bulky or small just pure perfection. Highly recommended and worth the money!

Impressed with the accuracy!
This level is highly accurate, I checked it on a surface that is known to be perfectly level. This little level is highly accurate, I use it when setting up my RV to check the refrigerator for level, does a fantastic job. Also, the quality of this level is very very good.

Great size and strong magnets for pipe bending
I am an electrician and I think this level is great for pipe bending of any size. The only reason I didn't give it a five star review is because of the power button. It turns on by itself when I have it in my backpack and it would get damaged if I put it in my toolbox. The power button should be less sensitive or it should come with a hardcase. Another suggestion as an improvement would be end caps and the viewing window could be a bit more slanted for top viewing.

Work pretty good. Downfall is you can't zero the digital computer and you can't calibra it. You can find something that's dead level and see if your digital display matches. That's where a zero setting would be handy. If you want calibration capabilities you'll need to sent to a test lab or send it to starett to get them to see how far off zero it realy is. Going by the bubble to make something level is only as good as your eye. This one seem to be pretty close but I doubt it's perfectly zeroed when on a true flat horizontal position. But getting things built in the welding field it works pretty good. Down fall again is if you have a piece that has a off set degree of 20° or 30° it won't work. I'm. Still trying to find a torpedo level that can still give you a degree with a cant, pitch or roll of mor them 30°

Level works good. However, this page and the manufacturer's page of the item says .01-.02 degree accuracy. The manual inside the package says it is .1 degrees. I attempted to contact the manufacturer by both email and Facebook but they would not reply to my email/message.

First one that I bought and list from January was good. But the replacement that I bought afterwards and exchanged returned 3 times afterwards were broken from get go. As picture shows either display wasn't working 100% or it simply didn't go past 20 degrees vertically. Until they figure out their production run issues I would hard pass on it. 1 out of 4 worked properly.
