If it's the original battery it's effective life is probably over. The charger does exactly what it's intended to do and that is recharge the battery. If, when you first turn on your camera, the battery is fully charged then it's not your charger. The battery, though fully charged, sort of leaks it's energy away too fast. I got a new battery and it's as if I have a new camera.
