Good and bad..must read.
4 stars to start as the fit was tight, read on, if it lasts for a good deal of time past the 150 day warranty, i will give it 5 starsok, so have a 65733 65" mitsubishi dlp, this will be the 2nd bulb i have bought, the first one i bought 2 1/2 years ago and it is still working but i have at times just recently noticed just a slight pulsing in the "light" or picture, not flickering but an even pulse, so i googled it and it said good chance the bulb may be about to go. the last bulb i bought from a place that no longer is in business and i looked it up and I paid $130 aprox. for it, it was a new bulb and housing and when i pulled it out, it was an osram, so thinking this must be a pretty good bulb, as 2 1/2 years it still works. (ill keep this old osram set aside so when i blow this new bulb, i have one to use while waiting on another to ship) So you know, i use this tv almost solely for gaming on my pc, it gets about 6-7 hours of use per day, pretty much every day unless im out of town which isnt very often.this new bulb has 150 day warranty so i put it in yesterday (as if its going to blow in less than 5 months of use, i want to be able to submit it under warranty and get it replaced) and then set a reminder on my google calendar for 150 days past the purchase date, which ends up being 7/8/2013. when that reminder comes up i will update this to let you know how its going, as of right now it seems to be working great, the fit into the tv was a little tight and i really have to give it some extra force to push it in the last 1/4" or so, must be part of the housing that wasnt "quite right", the screws on this one are metal, unlike others who have reported getting plastic ones, the housing seems of fine quality, other than the fit wasnt quite right, i was afraid for a bit that i wasnt going to get it to go in, but eventually pushed hard enough and it went. I have the strange feeling this bulb may be just a teeny bit dimmer than the osram, but not sure.I do run my tv on the lowest power setting through the menu, and have it set to the slow start up"power saving" feature. just so you know. anyway, if something goes wrong before 7/8/2013, ill let you know, but at this price, if i can make it past the 150 days for any length of time, the bulb will be worth it, not exactly convenient to change every 5 months, but im hoping it will last longer than that.**update 2/18/2013, bulb still working fine, and to be honest, i think it is probably about the same brightness as the last one, so hard to tell, but I dont have any complaints, will keep you updated.**update 4/23/2013. Bulb still going strong. Still using regularly.®®update. 5/29/2013. still working great. Only a little over a month to go and warranty will be up but should have also paid for itself by then pretty much compared to higher priced bulbsJuly 8, 2013... well, bulb still working great, ill update again later, almost thinking i should buy another one now to have for the future, and use it right away too for 5 months to make sure it lasts through the warranty period again like this one has, but for this price of like $35.00 definately a deal..September 25, 2013.. sorry, wouldnt let me update my review for awhile, but I'm back, and with my last review, AND "it's" a good ONE...!!still working, still using it just as much as always, daily, for hours, still works, for this price and this quality, why buy another kind, could someone get a bad one? sure, with any brand, but these come with a warranty, and i never had to use it, and still going strong.so again, not going to update anymore, this thing has lasted long enough to be the best buy out there for me, and I AM happy!update!, it is now 3/16/2014, i have used my tv just as much as i said i would, alot. and the picture is starting to flicker again, which i believe means the bulb is about to go, so i have used it for just over 13 months, it's still working but im afraid it might be about to die, so ordering another one just like it, and for $35.00 compared to an oem price, i believe this is a spectacular deal. hopefully the next bult will last just as long!UH OH! well, i did order a new one, and this time if fit in perfectly, no hassles, worked for maybe a week, and its dead... well, i will run through the warranty process and see how that goes and update, plenty of people in other reviews said this has happened to them, and no I am a believer, but my last bulb from here worked plenty well and long for the price....again, ill update on how all this goes.Update, april 9, 2014, since this last bulb died before 30 days, was super easy to return to amazon, they paid shipping and refunded my money withing a day or two, very nice, although if it would have been past 30 days i would have had to deal with the company, no idea on how that would have gone,i ordered a new bulb and received it today, just installed it and turned everything on, well, it's working so far, ill keep you posted. this is only day 1, lol.april 21, 2014, so far so good with this bult, had it almost 2 weeks, ill post again later, if it makes it past the 30 days, and then goes bad, i will have to deal with the company if it's within the 5 month warranty, hopefully that wont be the case, and it will work a good long time like the last good one i got did.May 13, 2014. Still working good

Bad quality now
JUNE 30, 2014: DOWNGRADED REVIEW FROM 3 STARS TO 1 STARMy original review is below. I've changed my opinion over the years though.I have bought four of these replacement bulbs from this vendor. These were the exact same part number from the exact same vendor. Looking back at my order history, it looks like the first one lasted me from January 2011 to October 2012 (a year and three quarters). That was great. Then the second one lasted me until recently, which is also pretty good (over a year and a half). I knew that this second replacement was going to poop out soon, so I wanted to have a backup on hand. When I went to order another replacement I noticed that the price had dropped, so I ordered two. These two new bulbs were both very different from the two that I got before. The quality was a lot lower and it turned out that neither one worked at all. The first one would overheat after a few hours use. I could take it out and cool it off and then get it to work again, but that's a huge hassle. The other one didn't work at all.I finally bit the bullet and bought a genuine Philips replacement bulb. You can tell right away how different the quality is. I talked to a TV repair guy and he showed me that the Philips bulb has a glass post in the middle where the filament attaches. But on these replacement bulbs the center post is cheap plastic (you can see it's a piece of plastic about the diameter of a pencil). The Philips bulb cost me a little more, but it was totally worth it. What's the use of paying less for bulbs that don't work at all.I'm having trouble returning these replacement bulbs now. Even though the product description shows "150 Day" warranty, Amazon only honors returns for two months. I called them and they were kind enough to generate an RMA for me with the vendor. We'll see how this return process with the vendor goes. The bottom line is that these aren't the same item that they used to be back in 2011. The current version of these bulbs use inferior quality materials and are made in Mexico. I'll never buy these again.____________________________________________________Original review from January 26, 2011 (3 stars):This is a great replacement lamp for my Mitsubishi TV. It's incredibly cheaper than the OEM lamp. You can buy a couple of these for the price of the original. It fit perfectly and the quality of the picture is fantastic.COMPLAINT:My one major complaint is about the hardware. The product image shows two nice big metal screws. The actual product has two small (cheap) plastic screws. They were much flimsier than the hardware on the OEM lamp. Even worse, the heads are slotted instead of Philips. So instead of nice big fat Philips head screws, they are tiny plastic slotted screws. I unscrewed the OEM screws by touch, but the replacement screws were too small to feel, plus that doesn't really work with slotted heads. So I had to pull the TV all the way out of the cabinet and use a flashlight.I know, waaah. I shouldn't be a crybaby about the screws. But it was an unnecessary shortcut.

Updated from 2012 Purchase. Helpful advice to make your lamp last longer.
This is what I said the first time I ordered this lamp.(What can I say? Great price, arrived days ahead of time, picture looks great, I would order again).Well I ordered again! And this is what I think. I purchased my second lamp on March, 2018 and was very happy to replace it with the same lamp as before. This TV was purchased new in 2007. The factory lamp lasted 5 years and this replacement lamp lasted 5 years. After Pulling the back cover off the TV, I took my air compressor and was very careful to blow out the fans and lightly just to clean out all loose dust. Looking for another 5 years. Thanks.NOTE: (PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE BACK OFF OF ANY ELECTRICAL DEVISE UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGER OF ELECTRICITY. SOME ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS MAY HOLD A CHARGE LONG AFTER THE UNIT HAS BEEN UNPLUGGED FROM THE WALL).(The First Lamp Order 2012).What can I say? Great price, arrived days ahead of time, picture looks great, I would order again.NOTE: Some advice from a 22 year bench tech.1. Don't touch the bulb with your fingers. Oil from your fingers can cause the lamp to have hot spots this can be a reason for a lamp not to last as long.2. Take a big can or two of air, hold upright and blow the dust out of all the fans before installing lamp. Use a flash light to look and make sure all fans are as clean as they will come. This will help the lamp to stay as cool as possible and give your lamp longer life.P.S. Yes, sometimes you can get a bad lamp.
