Works like a charm!
Caught a bobcat-puma-wild-ape crossbreed thing with the big trap the first night. Sounded like a 480-volt electrical short arcing over and over. Drove it twelve miles to let it go in the woods and despite being a heavy cage, the whole trap moved back about a foot when that beast bolted out of it. Made me regret standing there in flipflops and shorts for a moment: "Idiot man found dead in the hills, apparently attacked by a wild deli slicer."Second night, I caught one of his.her offspring. Gorgeous little thing but we were going on a roadtrip so I just let it go in the yard. Wishing I'd tamed it.Annnnd have put these away because I smelled skunk on the third night. Now, I HAVE talked to a pest control feller and he says the trick is to go out during the middle of the day (if you catch a skunk) because that's when they're groggiest, and bung the whole thing into a 55-gallon sack, and then drive off and figure out how to let it go without looking a skunk's backside in the eye. So, am going to get the cage back out and try to get the other feral crocomonkeycat that comes around and bangs on the catio in the middle of me relaxing with a bowl of popcorn and a movie. When deploying these, use a little bowl for putting food in there -- it's a deep reach and hard to get it all the way down without spilling. Also, I've had a lot of luck with covering everything but the opening so the feral monstrosities have no choice but to get in.

Price elsewhere First
Seems to be good quality and well functioning trap. Arrived as expected. Wished I would have known Tractor Supply has the same 2 trap combo for 25.00 instead of the listed price sold on amazon is why I gave this product 3 stars.

Set it up as soon as it arrived
Set it up as soon as it arrived since I've been invaded by raccoons lately. It didn't work. The raccoon ran off with the bait! I'm resetting it and giving it another try. Maybe I had the trigger hook on too tight. This time I barely let the hook catch the door. If it works, I'll update this review. On the second try, the door slammed closed before the raccoon could try to get to the bait and it got away again. I am going to send these back.

Sorry no recommendation here.
These live traps are not reliable wildlife traps. The metal is too thin & easily bent & the holes between the wires are too large allowing raccoons and like animals to get a good grip on the wires and bend them. Of course the idea is great as is any other live trap but the wire quality---not so much. Had we used them when we bought them & discovered this we probably would have returned them. As of today anyway we continue to try to straighten the wire & use again. I can't recommend these & we would not repurchase as these lively critters are just too strong for this quality & workmanship.

5 stars from the trapper, 0 stars from the trapped.
It took near two weeks to finally catch the little pest, but I did it. I caught the raccoon who on numerous occasions tried to come into my house. He has since been moved to a new home.Interestingly enough, the trap came with a quick guide for which bait to use for your pest. It was recommended to use cat food for raccoon problems. As this was my problem, and I only had cat food, I threw out a bowl of cat food in the trap. To my surprise, and what really shouldn't have been such, I managed to catch my neighbors cat not once - but twice before finally getting the raccoon. I suppose this could be another selling point, this trap can catch your cat if he/she doesn't want to come inside.I can't say the raccoon or cat would've given the trap a 5 star rating however. They both seemed to be fairly disappointed with the accommodations. On a serious note - the trap does have some pretty sharp edges on some of the sheet metal. The raccoon cut himself up pretty bad trying to escape. Just something to note.

The smaller cage wasn't sealed completely so the bars are some whah lose. Feels a little cheap but using it to catch cats specially now a kitten which wpupdnt be strong enough to break it but animals like raccoons are creative and may get out it's also 60$ which the herbal peice seems form 30-50$ for cages like these. Will post about how it works later on

Backing the claim up with photos
I am not one to typically take the time and write a review like most people out there. However, this is one product I am going to take the time to write about. My back yard has been invaded by raccoons, possums, and feral cats. I hate having to chase my dog all over the yard because she picks up on a scent and then goes on the hunt. So it was time for eviction notice to be given to all the animals that weren't my dog. I did my time and research try to find the best deal for what I needed. These two traps have been out only two nights and as you can see the proof is in the pudding. If you going to do this make sure you read up on how to trap an animal placement, baiting, and scent control and you will have great success. If you do your part the trap will do its part as you can see. Happy trapping!
