Boye 14-Inch Rosewood Knitting Needles, Size 6

Beautiful knitting needles. Could be a touch smoother on the tips. Over all happy.

These are pretty and lightweight. I usually like using rosewood needles when I knit. Sadly, these don't keep a smooth shaft. Mine were slick and the yarn moved smoothly on them, but after a few hours, the finishing coat had rubbed mostly off leaving a rougher surface that doesn't let the yarn slide so nicely anymore. I was using a soft wool, so I don't think it was that the yarn was too rough for it. I still love them, but I don't think I'll reach for these needles at first when it comes time to cast on a new project...

Although the package and both needles in a set were marked as size 6, they look different from the first glance. I measured them: actual size of one needle was size 5, the other one - size 7.The points of both needles are not round, they look like cut off.The wood is not as smooth as it should be.I am returning them. Very disappointed.

I bought these as an inexpensive stocking stuffer for my wife (an avid knitter), and they've become one of her favorites. They're nice and straight, and much prettier than aluminum or plastic needles.

Nice, comfortables, not cheap, not expensive and for me the principal quality in addition to the others is the 14 inches that is difficult to find.
