Emerald Companion

I have this little book by my bedside. I read a few pages that I’ve turned down that are my favorites. I have not memorized these yet, but I know I will someday after I have read and reread and reread the little book. This is my favorite RUMI book so far. It’s the translation/the translator. Keep an eye out for this person. This is the Rumi I have known, and look for more from this translator.Be careful on Amazon these days, they don’t give you the opportunity to look inside the book anymore. I have bought several others that are complete trash, at least to me. They did receive high reviews, but they are not for me. Be sure to do your research on the translators.

I LOVED IT! This book is an invitation to dive deep into your soul, it is also a reminder to feel again, and be grateful for it (and yes this implies facing your darkest moments/feelings, but also falling in love with all the good in your life).I had in mind for a long time to buy this book, and every time I saw his poems on Instagram I always reminded myself "I have to buy it". I don't regret it at all, it is one of the best poetry compilations ever!! You can feel in every word there is something bold & real here, something we all have felt before.I want more!!

“Emerald Companion” is a collection of poems about life and faith. As with many poetry books I’ve read, I took my time with it and felt my way through each page. When my homeland shut its borders to the world in March of 2020, I was already going through a very tough time in my personal life. The border shutdown not only offered a slight reprieve, but it also mirrored my own feelings towards life at that point in time. I was sad and in a lot of emotional pain. Knee-deep in inner child and shadow work, I found Suhaib’s Instagram (IG) page. His words helped soothe some of these wounds and helped me tap into heart space. They also gave me hope, and they served as a reminder of my faith.In all, I enjoyed this book, and I very much look forward to more of his writings. Check out his IG page for a preview of his work. Absolutely incredible book, I finished it all in one sitting. Each page was as refreshing as the last. I spent the last few hours going thru it again and writing down my favorite phrases. Must buy.

Just finished reading this at 1:30am. And honestly speaking it's definitely worth it. After reading snippets of this book on Instagram, I thought I'd purchase it. And now there are many corners turned for me to revisit this.Suhaib Rumi has truly encapsulated feelings of love, lost, faith, healing and so much more in this light read. For anyone reading, please purchase the hard copy of this book. It'll truly be a book you'll revisit again. As the words are truly timeless. Thank you to Suhaib Rumi for this awesome read.
