HOLY COW! This sucker REALLY sucks!!!
This device hangs on, and doesn't let go! I mean, neither end wants to let go. It reminds me of a deep sea creature from a 1950s horror movie. The suction head that attaches to my inner windshield is very easy to use. However, once it's attached, it does not want to let go. I honestly find myself being ever so gentle when removing it. There is a genuine fear that I might pull my windshield out, the suction is that strong. (Logically, I know that's not possible. Nevertheless, I am VERY careful when I remove it to clean my inner windshield.)And, it's exactly the same for the magnetic head to which you attach your phone. I glued the magnet to the back of the cell phone case that it came with. After about 2 weeks of regular use, I removed my phone from the phone holder, and the magnet remained behind.I really wasn't surprised by that, in fact, I may have actually expected it. It was a wrestling match between me and the magnetic cell phone holder when I arrived back home each evening. My solution was to slip a fresh magnet pad between my phone and my cell phone case. This worked as I had hoped -- the attraction between both magnets was now reduced to the point where my phone was still functionally and safely held in place, yet much easier to remove at the end of the day. (I understand that iPhone users have to be much more careful about where they place their phone magnets.)I should mention that I'm a rideshare driver. I drive all kinds of roads, and mostly in city neighborhoods. For whatever reason, the nearby roads and freeways are in very poor condition and my car has to deal with hundreds of dips and bumps per hour. Those road shocks are immediately transferred to the interior of the car, and to my magnetic cell phone holder. There is a length of flexible, rubber covered aluminum between the magnetized phone holder and the windshield suction cup. The shock is not transmitted to my phone. However, the phone does bounce up and down because the aluminum works exactly like a spring. My car has a touch screen, and I've learned it would be very expensive to replace. In the first day or two that I used this, I noticed that my phone could have smacked into the glass panel and caused me over $1,000 in repairs. Not a problem, because this cell phone holder removes (fairly) easily, as I mentioned above. All it took was a minor repositioning to make sure that my bouncing phone didn't impact on anything expensive on my dashboard.I'm not sure that this device would be useful in a wartime situation, but it does feel like it was designed for, and built to be used in a combat zone.I can't think of any other products I've used that have been so simple in their construction, that have so completely fulfilled their promise, and that I have felt so positively passionate about. (With the possible exception of chocolate chip cookies...)I'll close with this -- this is the fourth cell phone holder that I have purchased recently. The first three were the sort that clip onto your dashboard air vents. They either broke, or failed in their duty. That experience taught me that I can't use the clamp-type holder since I need to frequently look at my phone up close. The obvious solution was to go to a magnetic phone holder.I'm so thankful that my fourth attempt at finding a functioning phone holder was so successful.

Hands free iPhone obsession!
These are great. If you are addicted to your iPhone you need at least one of these. This is my second one after wearing my first one out. They can’t last forever being actively manipulated everyday. Generally I’d say this is a quality product well worth purchasing. You will appreciate hands free iPhone obsession.

Was exactly what I needed for an older ford taurus..
This worked great in my car was able to mount it on a flat spot right next to the shifter between the seats so it would reach way up high for easy visibility. I love it.

If you have a phone, a car, and a windshield, this is the mount for you.
As a part-time inventor, I saw the image of this mount in my Amazon search and knew by looking at it that it was the best design on the market. After 10 months, I can say that my first impression was correct.Between the length of the gooseneck and the accompanying dash support, it was as if the manufacturer had reached into my mind and created the perfect representation of ideas that had been evolving for years; every time my phone fell in my lap during the daily 40 minute commute.Since first owning a cellular phone, I’ve purchase and tested at least 10 different car mounts from cup holder plugs to air vent clips to dashboard and windshield mounting suction cups. So far, every mount has been like a time-bomb set to random explosion. I never knew when the suction cup would suddenly throw in the towel and send my phone (still attached to the stand) crashing down onto my driving knee (or something more sensitive). I only knew it was inevitable. It is nearly a year now since I attached this mount to my windshield and it still shows no sign of becoming dislodged. It is strong, firm, and stable.Over the years, I’ve been reluctant to mount something to my windshield because the options were to either have the phone too far from reach while driving or high enough on the windshield that the who contraption risked blocking my view to varying degrees. The design of this mount, with its extra-long neck allows the suction cup to connect low on the windshield. Thereby virtually eliminating any visual obstruction. The added dashboard support means that it can stretch the distance to the edge of my dashboard and still remain nearly vibration free. This comes as stark contrast to the last long neck solution which made the phone difficult to access as to went bouncing about like a moth trying to avoid capture. This 1Zero mount is also the 3rd magnetic mount I’ve tried. While all the magnets have been sufficient, the size, shape and rough rubberized surface of this mount make it so strong, I often need 2 hands to remove the phone.
