Perfect operation on my 7D with after-market battery grip!
This inexpensive, value-priced ACK-E6 Power pack for cameras using the LP-E6 battery works perfectly right out of the box. The construction is light, and might feel a bit cheap, but operation was perfect.People using this AC power supply for normal battery compartment use MUST make sure the battery compartment door is fully closed, or the system will not operate. There is a notch in the battery door that will allow for the wire to be strung through the door.In my case, I have a Canon 7D that I use exclusively for Live Streaming and Video production. I have a battery grip bottom attached with two battery capability. This one is an after-market model and not CANON OEM. The long door flips down to gain access to the batteries. Only one battery is required to power the camera. Therefore, I inserted the faux battery AC power in the right slot and it works perfectly...WITHOUT HAVING TO SHUT THE DOOR. There is no wire slot for this model, but it is unneeded on the battery grips.Perfect operation, and no heat buildup in the camera while the shutter is kept open for filming. It's a great solution, and works without a single issue. Very pleased and easily rate it at FIVE STARS with my honest and hearty recommendation!! A+*If you found my review helpful to you, please let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!

GAME CHANGER...
So...buying batteries SUCK! We all know it, that's why we are ALWAYS looking for AWESOME cheap batteries for our cameras that at least come within 9%-95% efficiency of the OEM batteries. BUT...there's ALWAYS a caveat to those third party batteries or so it seems. You know, it NEVER crossed my mind to purchase AC Power Adapters for my Canon 5D Mark ii's, not until my girl said "I wish we could plug these cameras up". Yep...there was the 'ah ha' moment. This adapter replaces the LP-E6, so, if your camera takes that particular battery, then you are in luck, these will work.I came across the Glorich ACK-E6 replacement AC Power Adapter and like anything third party, you worry that it won't perform the way it says. With that being said, THESE. ARE. AMAZING! I am very pleased with this product. So far I don't have any issues with this. I ordered two of these and I just might pick up a third...just in case I start having problems.MINOR ISSUESThe 'battery remaining' is different on both of my cameras. On one camera it reads 98% and on the other it reads 86%, not sure why but those are my readouts. I have only had this product for two days, but I don't have any issues so far. I will update my review once I've had an opportunity to use these under some harsher conditions.UPDATE 3/25/17 (almost a YEAR LATER)It's official, these things are AMAZING! There is NO WAY I would ever buy the Canon equivalent for $150 with the way these things are working. Now, I do understand that sometimes we need to bite the bullet and purchase something with better quality, but this IS NOT the case with this AC Adapter.I've read more than a few reviews about a 'buzzing' noise when these are plugged in and being used. I have yet to have that issue. I cannot comment on the quality control of this product, so maybe I got lucky...maybe, but I purchased two of these and I have no issues from either. I use these ONLY for video work and it saves me a TIME, oh boy does it save me A LOT of time. I have 8 Canon batteries (LP-E6) and 8 third party batteries because I can't charge the batteries faster than I use them. So, when I use these cameras at an event or shoot that requires me to put my camera on a tripod (for a couple of hours without moving the tripod) these things work like a charm (just need a power outlet). I also use these in a studio setting or on a shoot where I know I'm going to be spending over 2 hours in one position because of the shot.I STRONGLY encourage you to buy this adapter before you purchase the one from Canon...I'm just saying!

Manufacturer has upgraded this power supply. It’s Plug & Play and works great!
This power supply works great with my Canon 70D and Canon 5D Mk IV. Straight up plug and play on both cameras. Power indicators on both show 100% charge. Before buying this power supply I read the reviews and Q&A section about it. The manufacturer has addressed all of the issues that were brought up - the power connections have been reinforced, they added a EMI noise suppressor to the power wire connected to the “battery” to eliminate the buzz in the sound channel of video recordings.. No buzz in my videos, no intermittent power disruptions, no excess heat problems, works exactly as it is supposed to work, at 1/5 the cost of the Canon brand model. Just be sure that you feed the power wire through the wire port on the battery compartment and securely close and latch the battery compartment door. As far as the “battery” feeling flimsy; it is not a real battery, it is a place holder. It is an empty plastic box on which the electrical contacts are mounted. It has no guts. The power is coming from the AC outlet you plug it into. I have shot several 10 hour time-lapse videos on both cameras with no power issues whatsoever.

Update: This item works perfectly.
Update. I have to apologize for my last rating of this item... see below. I was wrong about the product not working for my canon 7D camera. In fact the item works perfectly. It was an error on my part for not operating the item corrrectly. In order for this item to work you must close the battery door completely. Unfortunately, I can't give the item 5 stars because it did not come with instructions. Again the item works perfectly for my Canon 7D camera. Again, I apologize for my last rating of this item.Unless I'm doing something wrong, this item does not work for Canon EOS 7D. I removed the battery and inserted the adapter. I plugged the adapter into an electrical outlet ensuring all connections were snugged and properly fitted and nothing...no power to my camera. I then compared the connecters of the battery to the connectors of the adapter and they are different. This is unfortunate. I have a shoot in 3 days and was really counting on using the adapter as a backup due to limited batteries on hand. I will be returning the item as soon as possible. Solution: Please ensure the item works for the equipment listed in the description. Again, I have a Canon EOS 7D not the Mark II edition. Thanks

Great and affordable
I have had a few of these, and use them with an older Monoprice 30" display. Very reliable
