Minions: Mega Bloks Minion Movie Supervillain Jet

I really liked this build - lots of unique pieces, tons of real bricks and not just a mess of tiny one-peg bits like Lego often provides in their sets. The ship has some neat elements, too - like the pilot's seat that launches you out of the cockpit, and the trap door. I'm a little unhappy with that trap door, since it started out too sticky and is now too lose and won't stay closed anymore, plus the mechanism to opens it is no longer working, but I plan to open up that section and see if I can fix it. If so, the fifth star will remain. If not, this will still earn a solid 4 stars from me. My kids really like the finished product, though they didn't enjoy the time it took me to complete the nicely challenging build. Lol!

This set was so fun to put together (by my 7 year old and husband). The instructions are definitely not as seamless as lego instructions. My 7 year old would be very proficient with a set this size if they had been legos but needed help understanding several steps with the instructions provided.We are a huge "Lego" family, don't ever buy any other brand for fear they won't compare. That being said, this set far exceeded my expectations. The bricks/pieces click together very well and look great. You can tell they are well made and are definitely not knock offs.Just be prepared that even if your kiddos can follow lego instructions on their own perfectly, they may need some help with these instructions.I would highly recommend this product!

My 11 year old daughter loves minions and has done many of the Mega Bloks sets. This is a very challenging set. It took her the entire afternoon to put together. I think it would be a little difficult for a younger child. However, for the price, it is a great value. The only complaint I would have is that there are over 400 pieces and they are not separated in any logical way. You have to take out all the pieces and try to find them. It would make much more sense to combine the first few steps in one bag and the next few steps and another bag. We approached it by first combining the like pieces into piles and then starting the project. That definitely helped. This was a great snow day project and kept my daughter entertained while stuck in the house. It is definitely a more complicated set. We have done many of the Mega Bloks sets in this is definitely a nice one if you have the patience.

This was a fun build. It's not quite "exact" to the movie but few lego / megablok things are. it's certainly close enough though.My 11 year old did this mostly by himself, and flew through it. No issues, and it's pretty solidly put together, and holds up to play quite well.Colors are vivid, and the minions are cute. Was a bit pricey but you're paying as much for the "name" as anything else, so that's normal and expected from any movie tie-in item.All told a fun set and a great addition to our way too large Megablok collection.

I bought this toy for my child to build by himself while I finish the things I needed to do (he’s 6) it is SOOO difficult for a child to build if I made this mega bloks Lego I would say it’s 10+ this is not for 5+ kids it’s difficult to build my kid was supposed to build this to be entertained while I do my things I’m supposed to but instead I’m over here building this Lego while I was supposed to do my stuff I needed to get done if I’m being honest if you kid is younger than 8 don’t let them build this is extremely difficult for a little kid to do let alone a 5 or 6 year old,the only reason I got this for my 6 yr old is because its affordable but not age appropriate

I was amazed when I saw that Mega Construx was building this ship. It has such a wacky 'z' shape to it, and I could not imagine that it would hold together well. It does. It is very sturdy. Not only that, but there is a cockpit as well as a pulley system for dropping a Minion down to the ground.This is is a great piece for play or for display. If you loved the Minion or Despicable Me movies, this is a set for you.

Honestly love the lego set but I only gave 3 stars because it says for 5 and up. My 5 year old does lego sets by himself since he was 4 and this one definitely should have been at least 6 or 7 and up. The instructions were more complicated and all the pieces are red. I would recommend for a little older of a child for sure

Large set with a lot of pieces, but great for my 5 yr old son to put together with his dad.
