Kuryakyn 2450 Motorcycle Accessory: Kool Kaps Engine Bolt Head Covers/Topper Caps for Harley-Davidson Evolution, Twin Cam Motorcycles, Chrome, Complete Kit

I have had my factory custom Harley Davidson Fatboy since 2012. My bike is my daily driver motorcycle, but is also a highly customized show bike. I put one of these kits on my bike back then. I have a chrome cap on every single bolt on my bike that is not polished stainless steel. They look great on the bike. With only a few exceptions these caps are friction fit. You would think that with the vibration of a motorcycle these would fall off, but in ten years I have never lost a cap. That is the good part. The bad part is that when you have to take a bolt off these are nearly impossible to get off without damaging the chrome, because these are chromed plastic caps. I just took my bike into the shop to have the top end overhauled and a leaking seal in the primary cover replaced. I took off my old caps so I wasn't paying the cycle shop to have to take them off. Besides ruining the chrome on the caps, 10 years of engine heat made the plastic brittle and many of the caps just broke. These caps are part of the look of my bike so I felt it was just a better idea to throw away the old caps and I will put new ones on when I get the bike back. If I get another 10 years out of the new ones that is not so bad. These are pricey compared to the knockoffs you can buy for $20 or so, but those are junk compared to the quality of Kuryakyn.

A very nice product. They do not supply enough to finish the job. My twin cam Harley has 12 rocker box bolts to kap. They only send 8. there are other shorts also.

These are plastic, which I assume if I read better I would have seen it, they stick on with silicone caulk and it doesn't hold well.... They look cool for a little while and then they start to fall off

When I ordered on Nov. 6th, 2019, the Amazon page for it said "2 Pack" with an Amazon arrow smile under it. But I only received 1 pack of 10.As for a review, from my original set installed 1and 1/2 years ago, I've had a few that have split (see picture) and fall off. Had to get more to replace. I would still buy again, as I haven't found another brand to buy.

They are OK but did not come with Enough covers to cover the rocker box covers

I only used the 3/16” caps (around chromed primary, transmission box, timing cover, and tappets) and 7/16” caps (rocker covers).So basically, only able to use half of an otherwise overpriced set.They do look nice but I was disappointed that I paid so much for caps that I couldn’t really use.

Half are a snug fit and the rest are loose.WARNING.. put the smallest amount of silicone onto the top edge of EVERY bolt.Even the snug fitting caps.Too much will expand and force caps off or split them.This kit won't cover every engine bolt, but will cover 95% and all that are obvious to anyone glancing at your bike.There's other kits online..These are ok for price.. 3 stars.

Caps for the transmission bolts are too loose to stay put on my ‘19 Street glide special.Package states ‘17 and later Milwaukee 8 engines.Further to this initial review…Went for an hour ride and lost a couple that I didn’t expect to lose.

Enough caps to do 2015 Road Glide Special with some extras. A little pricey for plastic caps. All smallest caps fit nice and tight and so do some bigger ones. Most of them however are loose and require the silicone hence lost a star.

WAY to expensive for the amount of caps in th3 package. No silicone. And they started melting after only 100klm.
