This is so cool. Every instrument transcribed and every minutia of Jimi's otherworldly guitar genius translated and explained. Each song has a foward with interesting facts about the recording and pertinent explanations of what is happening musically. I saw this and was sold instantly as it is from the best tab book publisher around, Hal Leonard. I didn't even realize the box and book itself is covered in purple felt until I recieved it - very cool and unique. The paper itself is of a lighter weight than normal to pack all of the over 1000 pages of complete scores into this book. The pages are a little difficult to grab and turn but the binding seems very strong and well made. I only have a couple of other issues with this book. One, song titles are not printed at the bottom of each page so you know which song you are open to instantly. Secondly, I think track times (mins/secs) should be noted every so many bars so you know where you are at while listening to the recording. I have seen these two features in other HL tab books and they are very helpful. I suppose since this collection is so expansive this would have added to the time and cost in creating this book. All in all an amazing book.

This is everything I hoped for. Accurate transcriptions, wonderful design in purple velvet with gold imprint. Entire Band is transcribed, more accurate than the Complete Beatles! A work of passion. Perfect all around. For yourself, as a present, great price. Love it. Thumbs up!!!

No book is more complete or as accurate in my opinion. You can start a Hendrix tribute band! Notation for all instruments. Highly recommended. Nice summaries before each song too.

My Hendrix score book arrived in impeccable condition and in a timely fashion. Great generous price. Everyone knows who is into record album transcriptions that Hal Leonard is the best (honourable mention to Amsco and Warner Brothers as well). These transcriptions are a great boon in getting to know the elements of Jimi's wondrous music making. Highly recommended!

Everything you need..you won't sound like Hendrix but you can dream!Complete and accurate for most people!

Love the purple velvet wrapping, just what I wanted. Only problem is is doesn't have any of his post death releases, such as "Angel"

It’s beyond expectations...

Brilliant book of all the album tracks up to Band of Gypsys. Beautiful felt cover and hard back slipcase.Knocked 1 star off though, cos the songs are in alphabetical order. I have the Complete Led Zeppelin tab book which has the tracks in album order. By adding a few tabs I can easily jump to the tracks by album (or thereabouts) without having to refer to the contents page (which does also have the tracks listed alphabetically). Also, each page has a small footer so you know whereabouts you are e.g. "Dazed & Confused 15-5" (ie pg 5 of 15).But yes, an extensive collection of Jimi tabs. Totally recommend. The presentation is so nice it's kinda hard to use without marking the purple felt!
