This replacement kit for the chair works well if you are strong. I was able to get most of it installed.However, I will not do it again. It was just too much work. Please note that my chair had significantdamage so I could only get a limited idea of how the lower supports were supposed to be installed.As I said, the supports work, I did install them but I will get rid of the chair before I do it again.

Luckily amazon had these as one side of my travel chair was falling apart beneath me. Two days later it fell apart just when I got my amazon Prime delivery. After some difficulty getting started, I followed the lacing pattern of the other side. Perfection. Then the other side fell apart. Following my newly installed lacing pattern, I laced up the newly undone side.In retrospect, the tension between laces on both sides is more even if both sides are laced in tandem. At the moment I'm waiting for the bungee cord laces to stretch out a bit so I can complete the last three holes on the second side; my lacing on the first side got pretty tight as I got to the last hole, making the corresponding lace on the other side have to stretch too much.Learn from my experience and find a better way. The cords are top flight. Summer comfort saved.

If these sold at half the price they usually sell for, i'd give them a better rating. All bungies are going to degrade over time, and these are no different. Rubber hardens and gets brittle, the fabric coating degrades in sunlight. So i expect to replace these cords every so often. Keeping the chairs out of the elements when not in use, these cords last about four years for us. But one is paying (a little too much, i think) for the convenience of pre-sized and finished cords. One could buy some bulk cord and go DIY and save some money.

These work great but my lounge chair lives outside year round and the replacement strings will need to be replaced again as they seem to not hold up to the sun in southern Utah.

Time will tell how the strings hold up. I am glad I purchased this set because they seem like they are as good as the original strings and are name brand. The package I got was “TravelChair Lizard Strings”. For only $8 more than a cheaper set on Amazon, I figured I would stick with my chairs specific strings. The strings installed exactly like the old with a little work. The seat is now much tighter and feels like new, which was nice.

worked well for intended purpose but didn't last very long. in fairness the chairs were left outside all year so the weather ruined them. If the lasted longer it would have been more stars. I imagine if you covered or put chairs away during bad weather or extreme sun it might last longer

Bottom line. This will not work on the lounge chairs we have. The replacement strings are way too short and my fingers are raw from trying to stretch them enough to reach.In the Seller's defense it does say: "Restring Most Lounge Chairs" Maybe if I got an additional kit and used them together it might work but it starts getting cheaper to buy a new chair.

I ordered 2 of these as there was no indication in the description of the length or number of chords in a package. Amazon fails big time in your lack of description.
