These struts have a different mounting method compared to the factory struts but they were easy to install. The angled ends were the right ones for mine. The struts are very strong and easily support the heavy hood of my GX470.

No dislikes at all put on my Kia Sorento 2012

I suck at reading instructions and not very handy when it comes to fixing stuff. This was so easy. They just pop right on, just need someone to hold the back open or prop it yourself and it only took a few minutes. Brand new lift gate.

This fit my 2011 Kia Sorento SX perfectly. My old struts were not as strong as it used to be and would not hold the lift-gate open completely, causing me to bump my head occasionally. Installing this would have been a breeze, except I had removed one of the clips and had a very difficult time getting it back in place. What needs to be done is to place the new strut over the ball and then lightly lift up on the clip so that the strut slides in place and when releasing the clip, the ball is captured by the clip. After learning that trick, the remaining three clips took a couple of minutes. The same applies to the removal of the old struts. Lift up the clip slightly until the clip is spread enough to slide over the ball and the strut will come off.The strut is strong and halfway through the opening of the lift-gate, the strut takes it the rest of the way. I give it 5 stars for now. Obviously, I can speak on the longevity of the product.

This literally took all of 5 minutes to replace both pistons on the rear lift gate of our 2013 Kia Sorento. Just needed a flat tip screwdriver and someone to hold up lift gate. If I ever run across this issue again, I now have an excellent solution. Thanks again.
