ATTN: PUPPS Sufferers
I am so thankful for this product! Right at 34 weeks I started developing the annoying pregnancy rash that we all have learned is PUPPS. For me, it was worst on my arms, hands, legs, and feet. After using this product for 6 days, my skin was 95% cleared by day 5! The only thing I used differently during this time was Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap so I am now officially a believer. This is exactly what I did and I hope you have the same success as me!I took a shower daily with warm water. I LOVE taking hot showers but I found this irritated my PUPPS even more, so I settled for warm water. I did my normal routine and put the soap on after shampoo, I let the soap stay put for about 3 minutes. I did everything else and the absolute last thing I did was put on an additional layer of the soap and put the water to cold (or as cold as I could manage). The cool water felt AMAZING. After the shower I patted dry on the affected areas - trying hard not to rub or irritate the skin. After I was dry I opted to use Aveeno 24-hour skin relief lotion for itchy skin. I had been using this lotion prior to the tar soap and it was the only other thing giving me any type of relief - albeit small relief. The first few days I would take a soft cloth throughout the day, lather it up and apply it to the rashes. I would do this every 3-4 hours or whenever the itchiness came back. After day 3 I only had to take the shower and now, 6 days in, I barely have the rash. I am SO thankful for this product. Hang in there mommas - getting PUPPS just means we are almost done with the pregnancy and our light at the tunnel is approaching!

Works for pregnancy/hormonal rashes within days!!!
Great for pregnancy rashes!!! I broke out with the PUPPP rash about a week ago on my wrist and thigh. I tried using rash creams from the pharmacy and nothing was working. After doing some more research, I heard Pine Tar Soap does the trick! It sure did! I used it every day for 6 days. By day 6 it’s gone from my wrist and all that is left of it on my thigh is some discoloration. Majorly helped with the itch too! I still wash with it because the pregnancy rash tends to come and go since it’s hormonal triggered. Even though I hate the smell, it is worth it and it works! If you are experiencing a hormonal rash, GET IT!!! What do you have to lose?? Other than the rash lol...

Amazing relief from PUPPP
This is my second review ever but I had to talk about this soap. I have PUPPP and OMG the rash was driving me nuts. Nothing my doc prescribed worked and nothing I bought over the counter worked. The rash was from my neck to the top of my toes and the itch was endless. I came across this soap on a blog and like all the other things mentioned on the different blogs, I bought it in desperation.I had hours of relief in one use and after 3 days using twice a day the rash is cleared from most of my body. I still have rash on my arms but they are not hugh clusters of welts anymore. I get an itch here and there but not as intense so I am not compelled to scratch. Now my biggest issue is are the scars all over my body from the week I spent scratching all day and night. Let’s just say I will be dressing like it’s winter for a long time. Very unsightly.Twice a day I shower with the soap in cold water then apply aloe Vera instead of lotion or the anti itch balm I was using. I also drink 2-3 servings of v8 juice a day.I really hope this helps you. Thanks for reading.

Not Just for Men
I was needing a small “manly” item to complete Christmas gifts for the men in my family when I found this soap. It seemed perfect; small, inexpensive, and unique. Plus, what mountain man doesn’t want to start his day with lathering up in some Pine Tar?!? So, I ordered a 6 pack, hoping for the best - especially since Christmas was only a few days away. The soap arrived and I’ll admit, the smell was initially offensive - the entire box smelled like it had set next to a campfire throughout the night. I started getting upset, but then realized that I had received exactly what I had ordered - a “manly” soap. When my husband got home from work I enlisted him as my guinea pig, and he tried the soap out. After he showered, I couldn’t keep my nose off of him. My goodness, he smelled so fresh and natural. Maybe an improvement... Anyway, we had the soap bar in the shower so I tried it too - and now I’m a believer. My skin felt so much softer and it didn’t hold the smell of campfire. Yes, my bathroom smells like a campfire because of this soap but the pine smell doesn’t stick to my skin. How cool is that?!? I live in the woods, my bathroom smells like a pure pine fire, my skin is smooth, and I’m bathing in a soap that’s all natural. I never thought I’d kick Irish Spring to the curb, but I have. We’ve now used this soap since Christmas 2017 and have no desire to stop. Best soap ever, 13/10.

Uhhhh, yeah....
Okay, straight out the bag, burnt veggie dogs. Possibly past the expiration date. WTF, why does this smell like this. Very distant from a pine tree. Once you lather it up it’s much more tolerable, the scent it leaves on the skin is actually pleasant. But I had to keep it in a pint cup with a lid to keep it from stinking up my bathroom like veggie dogs. Probably going to mix this with some orange soap, make it a bit more like the Squatch. If you’re on a budget, sure wtf not, the lather is quite good. If you want to actually smell piney, Squatch, pricier for a reason.

40 years clean.
I have Psoriasis. I have been using this product for nearly 40 years. I used to have to drive long distance to little mom and pop natural vitamin stores, which were the only places that carried it, only to find they were out but they would special order it for me! Now I get it delivered to my door! Life is great. This is the only soap I use. It doesn't turn your bathroom black. Doesn't smell bad. Cleans as good as any soap and doesn't leave a residue as long as you rinse well. I usually take what is known as a Navy shower, so the lather stays on my skin longer and if you have been brainwashed by commercials and you wash by rubbing the bar of soap on yourself, stop it now, buy a washrag and start getting really clean!
