This is my review for the Diamond MMA Athletic Cup Groin Protector w/ Soft Rim, which I use together with the Diamond MMA Four-Strap Jock Strap Supporter with Built-in Athletic Cup Pocket for Sports. I use the Diamond MMA Athletic Cup for Krav Maga where we regularly perform martial arts kicks and other stand-up fighting techniques as well as ground fighting. I've done other martial arts in the past without wearing a cup, but I wouldn't go without one the way we train for Krav. If you are working out in Krav Maga with a high level of intensity and a variety of partners, or sparring, you need a cup. There's just too many dynamic movements, or techniques where you target the groin area, to go without. This cup has definitely saved me a number of times. I work hard and I sweat allot. I'll admit when I first got a cup for Krav Maga I was worried it would be uncomfortable, might pinch or cause friction sores, or limit my mobility. I have really been impressed with the Diamond MMA cup. Their system of straps has always held the cup exactly where it needed to be. The way the cup itself is designed the "ergonomic soft elastomer edges" are forgiving (a flexible material that holds its shape well) so that I've never felt the cup cutting into my legs or limiting my mobility. And, when there's been "impact" the cup has been very effective, to the point at times when we are practicing a technique with a groin strike and you'd typically target the leg instead I've just been like "it's ok...I'm wearing a cup...hit me". I'd never offer myself up for a full-power rising front kick to the groin, but the cup has been completely effective for hand strikes or accidental glancing kicks. The cup hasn't effected my range of motion/mobility at all. And it's comfortable. I won't go so far as to say I can forget it's there entirely. I know it's there, but it doesn't restrict my movement and it's not uncomfortable. I frequently work out pretty hard for 2-3 hours and have no issues. I been using this cup for multiple workouts/week for over a year, and besides the little stick-on logo on the front of the cup coming off I can hardly tell it isn't new. I suppose if I were to make one suggestion for improvement, it might be to add some ventilation holes. I'm actually kind of surprised they don't have ventilation holes? Why not? Are they afraid it would effect the structural integrity? Or that it might somehow impact comfort? Coming from someone who works hard and sweats a lot, I do think it could benefit from a little venting. Besides Krav Maga I also play hockey. I have long used Shock Doctor jocks and cups for that. They seem high quality and have always done the job, but it's a different range of motion. I'm glad I went with the Diamond for Krav. When I first went looking for a jock on Amazon there seemed to be a fair number of folks asking about or worried about the size of the cup. The cup, compared to other cups I have used, seems fairly good size in terms of volume. Let's address the elephant in the room...the price. I would not consider the Diamond MMA cup and jock cheap. I was a little skeptical when I bought it, immediately thinking "this cup BETTER BE GOOD for that price". All I can say is, yeah, I feel like it has been that good.

Maximum protection, maximum comfort. Vital equipment for your vital equipment. Highly recommended! Fits great. Durable and not too heavy. Really forms to the body. Most comfortable cup I’ve ever worn. Excellent for MMA, sparring, Krav Maga.

I'll start by saying diamonds are forever! I took two shots to my priority package in my first Muay Thai sparring match this past weekend. My Diamond Cup had my front 2-2 right out the box! This thing paid for itself by the 2nd round! The pressure from the low blow was very well dissipated to the inner thigh. I give credit to the blue magic material around the perimeter. I was a little nervous about the width and comfortability upon unboxing. Once you slip the cup into the crotch pocket and get settled in, it was actually fairly comfortable. I will say one size fits most but not all. The only thing that could improve this cup is a custom fit or various shapes to choose from. This ain't your Pop Warner pee wee jock strap from back in the day. I can tell a ton of R&D went into this product. You will not be disappointed.

Good cup .. easy to use

Got this today and played hockey tonight with it. Had it in a Bauer Coreshorts Compression jock. It was super comfortable, didnt move at all, and honestly I feel like this thing could take a 90 MPH slapshot and I wouldn't feel a thing. Its a little heavier than other cups, but nothing noticeable on ice and definatly worth the tradeoff for the protection.

Protects my ball sack from massive impact. Best value for you money. The cup fits with the right underwear. If you want to buy the diamond cup. It'll be worth the money

"Updated review" Now that I have worn it many times. Diamond CEO was telling the truth at some point u don't even notice ur wearing it. It does take a little getting use to. Just normal wear tear especially supporter & cup in that region of ur body. But on 1st use within minutes ur amazed. Don't get me wrong U do feel it against ur inner thigh and think here we go again kinda same feel as ur old cup but bigger. U think It's going to be hurting later. Couldn't be farther then from the truth. While wearing it, feels like ur wearing just another cup. I squeeze my inner legs together and the blue stiff edge gives in such a remarkably comfortable fashion. I can't stop doing it from time to time just to convince myself it's really not bothersome. Verdict No problem! By the end of wearing it. There is no pain. I have tested it for long periods of time. I can tell u with old cups on, I couldn't wait to take them out/off. Honestly speaking I wait until I arrive home even before I taking it off! One of the Con reasons: Cons: A little bit of a hassle to remove while wearing it from diamond supporter. That might be an area of concern Price just for cup $30 if u want supporter that's an added cost of 2x more $30+$30=$60 Blue outer soft rim is stiffer by the touch of your fingers than I thought from pic Cup is a little bigger over all then the average banana style on market So somewhat noticeable when u first try it on Pros: Fit & feel much less intrusive holds & fully covers everything in place no pinching or exposure. A good reason for its slight stiffness. Not really much discomfort against thigh skin as appose when u hold & feel it in my first impression of it, I thought it's not soft I was wrong I really like it and I know u will like it to. Knowing I've got the best genital protection on the market. Haven't experienced an Impact yet. WLUK when it Happens! YIKES!

Big in all the wrong places. The cup wasn't big enough for my balls so there is always pressure on the skin. Big enough to tuck in the important bits but too big to fit between the legs Design wasn't thought through

J'ai acheté cette coquille plus particulièrement pour le Krav Maga, où mieux vaut sauter l'entraînement si vous avez oublié votre coquille. En combinaison avec son slip-suspensoir, elle est deux fois plus chère que la D... Sch... qui a pignon sur rue. Mais si la DS est déjà excellente et se laisse oublier, la Diamond MMA va beaucoup plus loin vers l'arrière pour encore mieux envelopper les parties génitales, et est nettement plus rigide que la DS. L'ensemble me paraît procurer une protection supérieure qui rend l'entraînement plus serein :) Elle est un peu moins souple que la DS au niveau de la zone entre l'aine et la cuisse, mais le surcroît de protection me semble compenser cela.
