A Footprint is cheap insurance for your tent's floor fabric. It is cheaper and less expensive to replace a footprint than an entire tent. The Perry Mesa Tent Custom Footprint prevents wear and tear to your tent floor, and is sized to prevent water runoff from flowing between your tent floor and the footprint. Four webbing straps on the Footprint corners allow secure attachment to the tent poles. Heavy-duty 6.5oz poly fabric with 1500mil waterproof coating help to create an extra moisture barrier between you and the ground. Also included are four ground stakes. Doesn't seem to fit the tent well.
I still get overlap problems - parts of the footprint that exceed the tent. A new tent (replacement) is on its way to me, so I'll revise this review up if it was the fault of the tent.
