Much better than Vvivid
I previously installed a Vvivid vinyl blackout kit on my trim. It was somewhat difficult to install and required a bunch of heating to follow the contours of the window trim, but it worked. After a few months, it shrank back, and after a year it was peeling off.I can't speak to the longevity of the 3M vinyl, but the installation bodes well. The 3M material feels thicker but is more flexible, requiring no heat to follow the contours of my windows. Since it didn't need to be heated, it didn't shrink back after a month of temperature fluctuations. The adhesive feels stronger and the process was easier. The knife provided is useless for anything but cutting yourself. I recommend taping it shut and tossing it. Squeegees are always good to have, but on something this narrow you probably don't need one.Just buy a roll long enough for extra because the process takes time and patience. You'll likely mess up one or two sections along the way.Knifeless tape is a game-changer so you don't need to put a sharp knife against your chrome plastic.Watch some tutorials, prep your surface, take your time, apply in a warm, clean environment, and be kind/patient with yourself if you're not intimately familiar with vinyl wrapping.

Should’ve started here first
So easy to use and will save you $$$$ if you take your time and do it right. I’m a novice at best, and quotes to delete the chrome were near a thousand dollars. I decided to use the 3M chrome delete (don’t use anything else!) it’s very easy to work with and it turned out better than I imagined. I did invest in a heat gun (about $20) and used it minimally for the installation. I couldn’t be happier about the outcome!

Quality vinyl, but expensive and sucky razor.
Order was correct, and came much earlier than expected (NC). The vinyl is the quality you would expect from 3M, and has a protective plastic layer overtop so you do not scratch the vinyl itself while installing. Its tough, but maybe a little too tough. Tough enough that the crappy little razor blade they give you has a tough time cutting through, which can lead to mistakes, and even hurting yourself. Thankfully I have a stockpile of actual razors that get the job done nicely. Pretty stiff Vinyl, but responds to heat well. Would recommend 3M over Viviid or any other vinyl.

Take your time, buy the right supplies and it looks great
This stuff is great quality and looks so good on my car. I went with the gloss black and think the little bit of reflection of the gloss matches the car well. I was able to use a 2" thick roll for window trim and a 3" thick roll for the bottom trim on my car. Take your time, buy a kit on Amazon with razors, applicator tools, etc. and also make sure you get a good heat gun. Window trim is pretty easy, just be careful to not cut too close to the chrome as any miscuts can mean you've gotta start that entire piece over again. Go slow, measure twice. Watch some YouTube videos to get tips and plan to need a little extra product as you might waste some as you learn how to best apply it.

Fake product
Be aware, this is advertised as 3M but the vinyl roll sent to me is most certainly not a 3M product nor does it have any 3M branding. I will update this review if the replacement is in fact 3M, but I would avoid this listing entirely since there is a high probability you will receive a fake product at a premium price.Update: Received second item, still a fake with no 3M branding anywhere. I would avoid this listing, other reviewers mention clear 3M branding so apparently it's a dice roll but I've lost twice in a row so I'm out.Second update: I did receive a genuine product, it just doesn't look like the genuine product others have posted pictures of. I opened the second package up and unrolled the tape to find 3M labelling on the underside of the tape. It's a bit confusing that some of the rolls have labelling on the cardboard and others don't, but I'm glad this ended up being legit and it's a good vinyl. Minor complaint is a slight orange peel texture.

Goes on easy and sticks good. Only thing is the gloss black has a brownish hue to it.
