Utter rubbish!
I chose the wok as it was described as being able to withstand high levels of heat. This was not the case. After it was used 3 times it was ruined and I have sent it back asking for a refund. Do not buy this wok!

Woks that? (sorry couldn't help that pun)
A fantastic little wok, I am really impressed with it, it is a sturdy pan with a wooden handle with Kitchen Craft printed on it.The whole wok isnt too heavy to hold when empty and is made of one continuous piece of ??cast iron?? but not too thick, it says it is suitable for all hob types including induction, I have a ceramic hob and it has stood up well to that so far (I've used it twice now)The wok came with 2 small white ceramic dipping dishes with a little design on the bottom, 2 sets of wooden chop sticks with red ends and a pot of Chinese 5 spice and a small bottle of soy sauce. It is not suitable for Dishwashers because of the wooden handle either but it was easy to wash up in hot soapy water as the non stick surface made it easy to wash.Only gripe was the amount of plastic it came with for packaging, it took me a pair of scissors, a broken nail and a handy nearby son to get it all off, it was stuck down with single and double sided tape and glue that was...well...glued down like super glue on speed! The glue took an age to get off the bottom of the dipping dishes as well. My recycle bin is fairly full now too.Apart from that it is a very nice little set and I am very pleased with it.

Entry level 'gift friendly' wok - nice for people starting out
This isn't a high end wok as I was comparing it to my parents which is both bigger and heavier. This is very much aimed as a 'gift giving' wok, i.e. someone going off to university, moving away from home, etc, and for this it's fine. For heavy duty 3x a week, I would suggest something more expensive. But like me - if you only use a couple of times a month and maybe starting out in the kitchen, this is perfectly fine.I've used on both gas and halogen and both have been easy enough to cook with (gas so much easier to control the temp with, of course). Stir fries have been easy and for feeding 2-3 people this is a good size. You could go to 4x people if portions not huge but I wouldn't go much beyond that.Hand-wash has been easy - no stains or stuck food. The dipping bowls and chopsticks are nice and add to the 'gift' concept which this product is all about.

Nice enough wok set, not trad but good for occasional stir fries
Nice set that is obviously meant as a gift. Its not a traditional wok (it has a flat bottom and a non stick surface) but its ok for th odd stir fry. If you are using a wok every night id probably get yourself to your local asian supermarket and get a proper one but we only stir fry occasionally so this is fine. The wok works on all hobs including induction. The set is nice and includes some spices, a couple of bowls and chopsticks. The best before date is July this year, not too bad but the five spice powder definitely wont be used by then.I like that the wok has a large ring on the end of the handle as i prefer to hang my wok up (its the wrong shape for my bit small pan cupboard!)

Wok could go wrong
I have used this Wok set twice so far and it's working exactly how it should do. It's definitely not for commercial users but for using once a week or fortnight it should last a good couple of years. (I will further update this review the more use it gets)It gets nice and hot on my induction hob and isn't too heavy to hold when being used. Washing it up is easy too but do not put in the dishwasher or you will be buying another one sooner than you think/As far as presentation, I would say it was packaged ok, a bit too much plastic but it would make an ideal gift for someone, if a little over priced. I haven't yet used the spice jar or the Soy sauce bottle as I am fully stocked on spices but they are handy in size for a few uses. The little dipping bowls are a nice addition and can be used for so many things.
