Great replacement for old CM907 Thermostat
The screen on my old CM907 Timer/Thermostat failed and I found this M3 Timer/Thermostat an excellent and more functional replacement for the CM907.Very intuitive and easy to use menu system with more options than the CM907 (1 hour boost facility to name one enhancement). Although I will say the instruction sheets are more aimed at Trade or Professional Engineers / Installers than DIY fitting. But if you are familiar with programming any modern control device with a GUI interface, it is very similar to any other and actually quite easy to program.I note a lot of people complaining about the outer flap not closing properly and springing open again and having to use Blu-tack to hold it down...Don't believe this is a issue with design of the M3 itself, more the fitting instructions not being quite clear enough of how to fit the main unit into the wall/back plate. Initially my flat did keep springing out initially after following the installation diagrams as shown, but I found out as long as you firmly clip the top of the main unit in first like a hinge and then pivot it firmly downwards, clipping the bottom in last, this should then be a tight fit and the flap then close perfectly. Well mine did after doing that.I gave the M3 unit 5 stars all round as long as you understand modern GUI programming techniques and install it correctly. But would reduce this to 4 or less stars for the included M3 installation and programming instructions which could/should be better. I believe they are not aimed squarely at DIY installers without some basic skills and knowledge.Hope it last as long and as reliable as the CM907

Easy to Install, program and operate
I had a free-standing manual Honeywell wireless thermostat which, while it worked perfectly, was a faff as I had to keep altering the temperature for difefrent times of day. The T3R is a direct replacement, which I also have free-standing. The sender unit was easy to install, being pretty much a direct replacement of the sender unit for the manual wireless unit. Once this was done, it was just a matter of programming the free-standing thermostat. I have no electrical knowledge and yet, I was able to do this myself with ease. I like Honeywell thermostats, as they are good quality and can be programmed in 0.5 degree increments.

Accurate and reliable
This thermostat replaced another type which had become unreliable. It came pre-programmed, which saved a lot of time on installation. The most notable difference is that it is much more sensitive than the old thermostat it replaced. This saves money as it is more economic in use. I would certainly recommend it if you are looking to install a wireless control for your heating system

Easy to setup, simple but obviously not a smart instrument.
Easy to setup . 7 day setup . 6 triggers per day . 1 zone.Battery operated. Receiver is wired in to a newish vallianr ( by gas engineer) . Not as sophisticated as a smart thermostat though.Temperature is accurate within half to 1 degree. Checked using another instrument .

Easy to follow instructions.
After having to send back a damaged in the box item I ordered this one.Within half an hour it was up and running including wiring in the new receiver following the clear and easy to read instructions.

Temperature sensor useless
Save your money - this is rubbish. I sent the original back as it wasn't showing anything like the correct temperature. The replacement is doing the exact same thing.Temperature showing 19 degress when room is actually 21 or 22 degrees. Sensor is much too sensitive which means the boiler is cutting in and out far too often (sometimes after only 20 seconds) and usually when the room is above the set temperature. Must be costing a fortune in unnecessary heating.

Electricians review 230v gripe
Honeywell is a well known and trusted brand. The thermostats functions are pretty easy to get to grips with.My big gripe with this product is the fact that it is described as 230v hard wired. Yes it is rated at 230v and is hard wired. No where in the description does it say that the clock and relay switching mechanism is battery powered, and not powered by 230v.Find this slightly mis leading as electricians we like maintenance free solutions I.E we don't want a phone call in a years time when the batteries have failed and the heating stops working.
