EMSupply seat cushion is perfect for the treatment of traumatic deep tissue injuries, surgery recovery, & pain management. It features a unique inflatable design that functions as a skin barrier and support, while the flat surface cradles around the body for ease when lifting. Very nice and comfortable!
This item was packaged well and came on time. Was everything as stated on site. I had no problem following the instructions on inflating the cushion. I have used it in my chair and it is very comfortable. But the real reason I got it was to have a cushion to sit on while soaking in the bathtub. It isn't advertised for this purpose but thought I would try it out. I have put it in the tub and sat on it and held up well on a hard surface and full body weight and was comfortable too and also put it behind my upper back/neck area to while in tub. Very comfortable. But haven't tried with water in tub yet to see how that works. I will come back and update once I do if anyone wants to know if it works this way too. If it does I might need a second one! {already have a small bath pillow but when it needs to be replaced this would be a good choice} It seems well made. I would recommend this item.2/3/2018 Update: I am still using this every day. But mostly to sit on, place between my knees when laying on my side, behind my back and neck area when sitting up in bed, to prop under sore joints like elbows and wrists and even as a pillow for my neck and head! While its surface texture is comfortable, I do find I like the feel better when I slide it into one of my own pillow cases. Just wanted to note that it has held up VERY well to daily use and I have only had to add air to it twice since buying it. It is just the right thickness for me to use just about where and the waffling is great to comfortably cradle my sore elbows and wrists when I just need a soft place for them to rest and not be touched. Still haven't tried it in the tub yet! Lol, too busy using it everywhere else!

same stock number, different product
If you are ordering this product, be aware that there are two different constructions being sold as the same product. One holds air for a long time, the other does not (different suppliers? different manufacturing machinery at the SAME contractor?) In the photo, note the size of the holes (1 " vs. 0.75"), the width of the sealing weld (1/8 " vs. 1/4 "), the positioning of the valve, and the robust sealing ring around the small hole model, absent on the large hole model.Simply put, the small hole model is much more robust and will serve months longer than the large hole model. I have ordered several of these cushions in blue and gray; if I were to order more, I would keep the small hole model but return the large hole model.

It can help if you use it correctly
My doc suggested this type of pillow for my chair, rather than other tailbone or chair pillows. I had sacral region back pain and sciatica that were hurting a lot and causing worry about developing ulcers. This pillow does work, though it's not at all soft, and you have to position yourself carefully to avoid sitting on the air plug. It's important to inflate it just enough to give you enough support; too little and it won't work, too much and it might make the pain worse. A bit tricky! It's also important to cushion yourself so you don't feel the plastic-y material edges sticking up. But the good news is that within about 2 weeks the pain was 80% gone, and no more worries about ulcers from sitting on my recliner. So I do recommend it, but I'd say to get your doc's recommendation first.

Helped quickly cure a persistent bedsore on my tailbone that was an aftermath of surgery
After emergency surgery, I developed a small bedsore. Because I am very thin, I could not get rid of it and it was quite painful, even long after I was no longer in bed for long periods. I had tried padded bandages on my tailbone, along with some Neosporin, but the sore did not heal until I used this pad along with it. Within a month, the sore that had been extremely painful for several months, was completely cured.I could sleep with this seat cushion under my hips and, because of its low profile, it was quite comfortable. I tried several different styles of cushions, both square and donut shaped and they were too high and uncomfortable while sleeping or sitting or riding in the car. I decided to give this cushion a try and was thrilled with the results. It is very light and comfortable. It doesn't deflate very fast, so if the top comes off of the refill tube, you are usually okay if you catch it early enough and snap it back closed. If it does deflate, it comes with its own little light pump, which makes it easy to keep it inflated. That being said, this is a low profile product and may not work as well for someone who is extremely heavy. For a medium sized person, though, it is highly effective and I recommend it most highly. I will also take it on car trips to keep from traumatizing that area again while being seated for longer periods in the same position and to for easing any harsh rubbing of the area while getting in and out of the car.

Perfect To Have On Hand
A few years ago, my elder mum was not too keen on this inflatable seat cushion, but now, she doesn't mind having it. I'm happy because it relieves pressure. (I've nursed bed sores before and believe me, that is NOT anything to ignore or to deal with). This seat cushion marks my second purchase.I use the other one for foot heels. As needed.

It's blue, like a Viagra... maybe it's trying to tell us something.
We bought this inflatable cushion for my 95-y.o. mother whose declining physical condition rather suddenly took her from being fully ambulatory on a walker to being either in bed, in a chair, or in a wheelchair all day. We also bought a couple of memory-foam cushions with the cutout in the back to take pressure off the base of the spine when a person is seated. My mother loved this inflatable cushion--found it much more comfortable than the memory-foam cushions. But now, after a couple of months' use, it will not stay inflated for more than an hour or so. My mother weighs under 130 lbs, so it's not like she crushing it. From the beginning, it had a tendency to lose pressure over the day, but now, it's essentially useless. I give it 2 stars because it served its purpose well for a short while, but I couldn't go any higher because it flunked out before the end of first semester... so to speak.
