Worked like a charm when I did a timing job on my truck. I will probably never use it again but it was indispensable the one time I needed it.

Well, it would be a nice tool but is is off by several degrees maybe 8-10 you would also have to grind off part of the end just to clear the locating dowel for the cover. I had to verify TDC not just by string and plum Bob, but as a double check I just put timing cover back on to verify TDC on balancer. It's definitely off by several degrees

The paint layer made it not fit quite right. Not a huge deal, just sanded it down a little and it worked fine. I successfully used it for a timing chain job on a 2001 ford 5.4l 2v.

Great price on the product. Had to grind appropriately 1/8 inch from the flat end to clear AC compressor. Tool was a very snug fit on the crankshaft. Alignment pin was too small and I was unable to fully seat tool against the block. With the timing cover and harmonic balancer installed the factory timing marks do not line up to TDC as other review shows and given 1 star. Vehicle is still in time following ford factory procedure. If you are on a budget this tool works. Tool would be even better with some small design changes for my application.
