NOTE ON THIS LAP TOP YOU HAVE TO REPLACE TWO OF THE RAM CHIPS ONE UNDER YOUR KEY PAID AND OTHER UNDER YOUR PC WHERE YOU BATTER GOES NEAR IT HAS A DOOR YOU OPEN UP NOTE PC MUST BE TURN OFF AND BATTERY REMOVE BEFORE YOU DO THESE STEPS ONCE THE TWO RAM CHIPS REPLACE YOUR PC WILL FAIL THE FIRST BOOT YOU HAVE TWO CHOICE JUST TURN OFF THE PC AND REBOOT OR DO YOUR MEMORY TEST UNDER SETUP OR BOTH MY SELF WHEN IT SAYS MEMORY CHANGE I JUST TURN OFF MY PC AND WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND TURN BACK ON AND TOOK A LITTLE WHILE TO BOOT THE FIRST TIME BUT IT CAME BACK GRATE THEN I REBOOT AGAIN AND IT WAS FASTER. RAM noticeably improved performance of my Dell D630 laptop.
After I installed Windows 10 to my Dell D630 laptop it’s speed slowed to a crawl. It took 10 minutes to boot up. The internet connection was so slow it rendered the computer unusable.I purchased 8KB of ram and installed it. At first the laptop would constantly reboot all by itself and I couldn’t use it at all.I removed 4Kb of ram, started it up and now it works just fine.

Very Happy with the additional memory and speed
Installed in my Dell D630 and it took the system bios a couple minutes to realize the different size... but it was successful. Very Happy with the additional memory and speed... helped alot. Highly recommend for this model dell. Cheers!

Doesn't Work
I bought these for a Dell D630. I inserted both sticks and the BIOS check showed a write error. So I returned both sticks and got replacements. Same problem. So I swapped the sticks around and finally got it to boot with one of the 4GB sticks and one of the original 2GB sticks. This worked for a couple of sessions, then Windows refused to boot. Started the BIOS diagnostic check and it indicated a memory write error. So I returned to the original 2X2GB and it booted fine.

Works great in Dell Latitude D630!
These SODIMMs are a great value for the money! I went to Leap 15.1 and 4GB of memory just wasn't enough. Did the upgrade and now it screams! AND they got here well before the Amazon-predicted delivery date!
