Bought this as a ball weight/ball stretcher. It was far less expensive than purpose-built stretchers or weights, but does the same thing. The mating surfaces on this ring meet up well with each other, the threads are aligned and accurate, and the overall quality is good.

I was pleasantly surprised. These split collars are very well made and include good quality bolts. I welded some 1/8" x 1/2" flatstock to each collar to hold a little shelf on a treadmill. The collars clamp to the main 1-1/2" diameter handles on the treadmill. Now we'll see if my wife can actually use a computer keyboard and mouse while walking!

Way too small for me and I consider myself average. Bolts could be slightly longer to help fit it on and if they had a hex head in order to help grip it, it would be easier to unscrew. If you had to take it off in an emergency, you might pass out before you get it off.

I bought two of these to stop the sideways slide of the attached flip up ramps on my equipment trailer during hauling. Works great.

I was able to fit this collar to my drill press stop with only a slight modification.
