Fantastic book for retail store owners and small businesses
This book hits it out of the park. If you are a small business owner of a local retail store, this book should help you as much as it has helped me. There are dozens of ideas that should make a local retail business more profitable immediately. As I read it, I kept smacking myself of the forehead and wondering why I had never tried some of these marketing ideas before. If you are a retail store owner trying to compete with the big box stores, put down whatever you are reading, turn off the phone and start reading this book immediately. You will wish you had read it a few months before the Christmas retail season.

An Idea Factory Full of Real Life Examples & Strategies That Win!
This is a fast-read book that's packed with real life examples of low cost strategies and tactics that any business can begin using today. Every chapter has something that you can apply. I love that there are alternatives to "traditional" marketing avenues that can be used to attract new customers, engage with them more profitably and retain them for life. Marketing isn't rocket science. Jeff Slutsky and Dan Kennedy do a great job of putting the cookies on the lower shelf. Buy this book. Read this book. Apply this book. Then watch your sales and profits grow.

I have to admit that I am a Dan Kennedy fan , and that until I started reading his works , I did'nt even read "self-help" type books , much less busines books. Fast foward...I now have every book Dan has out , and if you care anything about growing your business and yourself , (financially) you owe it to yourself to buy his books , just think , a complete how to info product for under $15.00. That's a steal.

Effective Marketing Blueprint
Anyone not familiar with these authors will discover numerous low-cost high return marketing systems for any small business. This book contains plenty of ammunition to compete on a major scale without the major investment. I'm a small business coach in a niche industry and upon completing this book I ordered a case of them from the publisher to distribute to my new clients. Valuable real-world information here.

Same book
I agree with the one star reviewer. This book is a duplicate of Slutsky's other book. There's about 40 pages of material from Dan Kennedy, but nothing that isn't covered in his other books. This is the last "co-authored" Kennedy book I'm buying.

Another Winner!
What else is there to say, I love all the Dan Kennedy books, and this one is no exception. I think it's particularly helpful for the small business owner looking for inexpensive, yet effective (which is important) marketing strategies that work today.

Cool ideas...
That you won't probably ever use. I like Dan, he is grumpy and makes a fortune at what he does just being himself. I used one idea and actually made money. I don't I will ever use all of the ideas for my business but don't let that stop you from buying the book. Its a good book to refer to in your personal business library.

I libri di Dan Kennedy, nonostante i neanche-troppo-velati tentativi di upselling di altri libri, corsi e quant'altro, sono RICCHISSIMI di spunti e idee da implementare subito. Uno dei marketers più importanti del secolo. Questo testo in particolare si focalizza su strategia e tattiche da usare nel caso di micro, piccole e medie imprese. Veramente utile e permette di 'aprire il cofano' e capire come e perché tante azioni di marketing che vediamo in giro nei negozi funzionano (o meno). Consigliatissimo, da leggere assolutamente dopo DIRECT MARKETING (il libro più importante di questa serie NO BS) e assieme a PRICE STRATEGY

Viel für den amerikanischen Markt, trotzdem einige gute Anregungen
Ich hatte mir dieses Buch aufgrund der vielen guten englischen Rezensionen gekauft. Leider finde ich die Auswahl an deutschen Büchern zum Thema Marketing für Freiberufler und Einzelkämpfer sehr dürftig. Es gibt sie, sind aber im Deutschen doch recht trocken und manchmal nicht wirklich geeignet für absolute Einzelkämpfer. Da gibt der amerikanische Markt mehr her.Ich gebe diesem Buch nur 3 Sterne, weil ich große Teile des Buches nicht wirklich hier in Deutschland anwenden kann. Zum Beisipel wird ausführlich das Thema Anzeigenwerbung in Fernsehen und Print beackert, wobei natürlich Kennzahlen aus den USA verwendet werden. Auch die Unterscheidung Fernsehen und CableTV geht in Deutschland nicht auf, weil es hier eine derartige Unterscheidung gar nicht gibt.Was wirklich Hand und Fuß hatte, waren die Ideen und Anregungen zwecks Kooperationen mit anderen Selbstständigen. Die fand ich sehr hilfreich und davon werde ich auch einige umsetzen. Wer also den ganzen Bereich Anzeigenschaltung ausblendet, findet hier einige gute Tipps.

Dan Kennedy's materials are a gold mine. Dare I say more? Started implementing the ideas in the book and its beginning to yield results.

Not impressed at all
Very boring and no "wow" moment or boom advice, just simple common sense advice i know myself without reading such a book.
