Lights flickered then stopped working
The lights were overly bright in my opinion more than I expected but I purchased them because I needed the plastic housing since the tabs broke on my old ones. (I had purchased LED plug in bulbs before to swap the original factory housing dim halogen bulbs, but the tabs were broken on the plastic housing and these were cheaper than buying just the housing part alone.) After just having them for a few months, one night driving home I saw that one of the lights was flickering rapidly, as in maybe not getting a good connection. Then the next day the other side started to do the same. Not much to my surprise they stopped working both right after. I haven’t fooled with them in a minute so the other day I decided to figure out what was going on, thinking that my wiring harness must’ve shorted out or whatever. I tested both plugs and got a steady 12v reading (if you switch the positive and negative you get the same reading but negative volts which proves the correct direction of power flow). I wish I had taken a video but was mostly concerned at the time of trying to test what was going on. The lights are completely trash now and I can’t return them. Cheap doesn’t last long (although I’m still not paying $17 each for ford factory plastic housing parts!). Also a heads up for anyone reading they are extremely bright but not in a good way in my opinion. Yes it todays market, marketing the brightest lights you can sounds great and all, but isn’t always practical. The lights give so much glow back under the housing pieces in the bumper and is way to sharp of a line going up it doesn’t look very clean. Bulbs give a neater pattern for my liking but that part is what it is. Some people probably like it.

Surprisingly satisfied
These were a perfect fit & 50x brighter that the factory tag lights. I was certainly satisfied.

Bright
Stupid bright, but not overly bright. Seem to work good, but only had them on there for a couple days. Would recommend.

Bright, but short out easily.

Bright!
9/15/2024 These worked exactly as I had hope. Thanks for the great retro-fit product! 12/26/2024 UPDATE: One quit working correctly, it just flashes non-stop now like a strobe light. I emailed customer support 2 weeks ago, still no reply. So amending my rating to 2 stars, 5 stars for the great fitment and brightness, and -3 stars for horrible customer service. These are cheap enough, I will order another pair and then have a back up for when the other one inevitably breaks as well. Buyer beware.

too bright and dont last
they are very bright for a license plate light, I replaced my oem lights with these on my 2011 f250 lariat, easy plug play design but the problem is because they're so bright, especially the left hand (driver side location) it causes a major glare on the back up camera. the 2011 to at least 2016 ford superduty, maybe give or take on the years, has the backup camera as part of the tailgate latch amd its located on the left side of it which creates that glare problem mainly from that side! aside from that glare, they have only been installed for maybe 2 months and have already started flickering like a strobe light, I unplugged the left because that made the glare worse amd it was the only 1 flickering at the time, now the other one is, eventually they'll stop working, would be nice to get a replacement or refund! not recommended though!
