This headrest for the Aeron Chair is a brilliant addition to an already outstanding chair. It not only works seamlessly but also complements the chair's design aesthetic beautifully. This headrest offers an impressive range of adjustability, allowing you to tailor it to your exact needs. While it's true that it's not the most budget-friendly accessory, it's in line with the Aeron Chair's premium quality, and I expected such an investment. My primary reason for getting this headrest was to improve my posture while sitting, and it has delivered on that front superbly. Great headrest (for the Leap V2 even!)
I got this for my Steelcase Leap V2- great hack. Was a little skeptical but it lives up to the hype for what it is. Very sturdy and comfortable headrest with great adjustability, and you don’t have to drill into your chair and deal with potential warranty concerns. About as good as you can get with those considerations in mind.

Delivers on form/functionality/fit. 10 out of 10. All the stars.
Imperceptible match in design and materials to OEM Herman Miller chair. I used the code under my chair to match the color, as specified in the ordering instructions. This one is the larger headrest for taller people.Installation was super easy. It clamps securely onto the top of the chair as pictured. Fit and finish blends perfectly. It feels amazing when I sit back in my chair and use it as a headrest. Looking forward to snoozes with my kitty while she stares out the window.

Great product with a couple minor issues.
The headrest is easy to install. The color matches my mineral colored Aeron Remastered Size B perfectly, and while the mesh feels like a different material than the chair, it is comfortable and matches visually perfectly. The only issue I have with the product is the looseness of tension on the adjustment forward and back that it comes from the factory with. It is necessary to tighten both adjustments down immediately to keep the headrest from flopping around with the slightest amount of pressure. The adjustments themselves work well, but they are covered by factory preinstalled protective caps that are a pain to remove. The instructions say you should remove these caps with your fingernails, but if I had talons long enough to attempt this the process would probably remove my nail before the caps came off. I had to remove all 4 caps with cellphone repair spudgers. Once I finally removed the caps and made the adjustment I was baffled why they were installed in the first place, as the exposed hardware better matched the rest of the chair which is covered in exposed screws and bolts.TLDR; Great product. They should ditch the screw covers and maybe get slightly nicer looking hardware instead.

Very good fits and works well
I’m short and this headrest is still good. I sit on a pillow and so my head rests nicely on it. The material is nice and slightly stretchy to provide a cushion feel. It is a pretty heavy piece so be sure to secure the headrest with the provided tool.

Looks cool but not very functional
This will be a quick review. I bought this and found for the price, this was a very disappointing product. First for install that was straight forward but it does mar the underside of the chair. My chair was used and when taken off you cannot see it, so it didn't bother me. If that is something that may bother you be aware. The color is correct. The mesh is close but not quite.Use: The mechanism is just terrible. I tightened it down with the tool and it still just doesn't stay in place. Plus, because it swings unto get closer, you never seem to be able to get it where you want it. I got mine set at the right height but my head was too far back. Move it forward and it was too high. The tilt of the headrest in the unit was infuriating as it kept moving upon down. Again, I tightened the screw for it and still the same issue. Lastly, the mesh is simply terrible. It's rubbery feeling. It feels like an old vinyl chair where they start go go back and the surface is rubbery and sticky. The mesh isn't sticky but the rubbery feeling makes it seem so. I cleaned it thinking it may have been dirty from the factory but it was the same thing. Overall this seemed more form over function. Look elsewhere.

$200 bucks for something that should have come with the chair? Gerd Dermit
I'm not sure if they updated the unit or not, but I'm 5 days in and no issues with mine yet. The assembly fits snugly on the top edge of the chair. The contours of the plastic body seem custom fit for the chair, so I didn't experience having to force it into place, or any unsightly gaps and general incorrect fit. It looks good and seems OEM quality frankly (thus far), and even the material matched my chairs pattern and color exactly. You have to have an extremely good eye to catch the difference (unless you ordered your chair(s) with another pattern or color). The adjustability of the headrest, after it's been installed, is very easy, using one lever to enable the upward and downard tilt of the headrest, while forward and backward adjustment is done manually (using your hands); I've read that you can adjust the level of force required to move the headrest forward and backward, but personally I haven't needed to do that. As for some other reviews saying the unit gets loose after a week or that they have had to finagle the unit onto the chair with McGiver solutions, I can happily say I have not needed to do anything like that yet. I really can't complain about anything other than the price, but really if you've ever sat in an Aeron (one that you paid for yourself), you quickly realize that for the money spent on it, a critical piece is missing, and this is that piece. It completes the chair and frankly should have come with one from the factory, so if you work for Herman Miller and are reading this, tell your cheap bosses to include this in the box.
