Q: Does it work without the white screen?

We projected directly on the wall, beige. The picture is still clear and bright for it has 2000lumens, of course the projector works best on the white screen, but I am pretty satisfy with the display now, just remember to turn off your light, it will work better.

Q: Will a simple white sheet work for a screen?

Yes, but the image quality will suffer, it is quiet clear and bright though, but we still buy a project screen, and we use this projector in a total dark environment, the image quality is perfect to watch.

Q: Can I connect my cable box to it

I don’t know. I use it with my laptop
