OneTouch Lancing Device Generic

I ordered this since my OneTouch UltraSoft has become impossible to find at a reasonable cost. The Global uses the same lancets, and both have a round holder so the lancet fits well. The one detriment is that the lancet cannot be easily ejected from the Global like the OneTouch. I recommend inserting a lancet in the Global so that one side edge sits in the slot on the edge of the Global's lancet holder. Also, before trying to remove the used lancet, place the used lancet's safety cap on the countertop and carefully push the Global's lancer holder into it until it locks in place. That gives you a better grip to pull the lancet out of the holder.

Ordered the wrong lancets, one touch ultrasoft instead of delica, so instead of reordering the correct lancets which would be a pain, I ordered a new lancing tool. It was compatible with the ultrasoft lancets and came quickly. Never missed a beat!

My 11 year old OneTouch lancing pen bit the dust so I needed a replacement. At $6.99 I wasn't expecting much from this lancing pen made by Global but I was pleasantly surprised. It works quite well. Another surprise is that it came with 100 lancets. I usually pay $8.00+ for 100 OneTouch UltraSoft lancets. Granted that the Global lancets are 28 gauge whereas the OneTouch are 33 gauge this is a pretty good deal. The Global pen also accepts the OneTouch lancets although they have a slightly larger diameter and thus fit the pen more tightly. I would buy this again.

My original lancing device broke a while ago and I was using a generic device I had purchased through a mail-order diabetes supply company. It didn't last as long as my original one and it broke. I went to my local pharmacy and the only ones they had were the OneTouch Delica, which takes a different type of lancet, and their store generic device which worked with the lancets that I had. This device was horrible to use. I then went to Amazon and found this One Touch generic lancing device which worked perfectly with the lancets I had. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one.

My pharmacy got my prescription for lancets wrong, and I found myself with a couple hundred of the SureTouch lancets that don't fit my Delica device. Rather than confuse them further, I figured I'd just get a compatible device. This one did the trick for cheap.I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with a new supply of lancets that the description didn't even mention!

This is a good replacement for the original lancing device that came with testing kit. It is gentle, sometimes a bit too much so, as I don't get a large enough droplet to test, but overall and usually works well.

Great replacement

I was always fumbling with the One Touch lancing device that had come with my meter. I bought this one on a whim and a prayer. Its a very different design and at first I did not think I would like it. However, it quickly became clear that its easier to manipulate and hold onto and when I prick my finger it is painless. That came as a pleasant surprise. It has five adjustments for depth of insertion and I ended up on the middle setting. The #5 setting is too deep and causes me to bleed a lot. #3 is effective - a small drop of blood and no sensation at all.For the price, getting ease of use, and no pain provided great value!
