Ball-jointed Doll Ai - Lawn Daisy by JUN Planning

Looked great. Box fell apart though.

I bought this doll primarily because I'm a huge Anne of Green Gables fan, and the doll is probably based on the series's titular character (http://dollywiki.net/Lawn_Daisy), just as ai doll Kangaroo Paw is based on Alice in Wonderland. And I have a soft-spot for book-based dolls in general. When she came up for cheap (about $32, with free shipping) on eBay, I gave in to an impulse-buy.Like most Ai dolls, Lawn Daisy- despite being plastic, as opposed to the usual bjd resin- is very high-quality, and her accessories are as well. Her outfit (including brown leather boots- which were a bit difficult to put on- and a conveniently magnetized wicker hat) comes with many pieces, as one might find in an older-release Pullip.Lawn Daisy's hair comes styled in two adorable braids, which have a slight tendency to become disheveled (but this can be remedied with a small crochet hook, which is a useful doll tool to have around anyway- particularly when installing Pullip eyemech, to connect the lids.)The bad part: Her pictures do her far MORE than justice. I'm not sure whether the common, officially-released photos of her were of a prototype, if they had a lighting accident, our if they were saturation-adjusted (I'm leaning towards the first,) but her colors are much less vivid in person. Her entire outfit and hair have more of a washed-out look, and her eyes-instead of being a beautiful teal-are more of a frog green-grey color. The color disappointment (and implicit, although most probably accidental) slight lack of truth-in-advertising prevent her from getting 5 stars, but Lawn Daisy is still a must for book fans or collectors of ai dolls (she's one of the top-ten best, colors or no colors.)

They are a very nice high quality plastic [and not resin] and incredibly posable as well as cute as can be. The down side is that you have to be careful of the plastic-wrapping them as I had a mishap with my first Ai doll,her head popped in half [made that way to adjust eyes] and her eyes popped out and the back of one got messed up.I'm use to bjds too oO. Other than the need to have very sharp cuticle scissors to get their body wrapping off I'm very delighted with them when I find them at a reasonable price.Be very careful with the scissors that you don't scratch the doll! I haven't but can see how that would be easy. They wrap them in the tight cling cellophane but stronger stuff like little mummies

My brother wants to get me this for christmas i will be sure to send a review on what its like this would be my first bjd doll if i get it

Lawn Daisy is my first BJD..I have always admired these Dolls..but never admired the money needed to purchase one of my own. These little Dolls are amazing value for money..beautifully packaged. I haven't attempted to take her out of the box yet...but reading other reviews..great care will be needed.She is tiny and very very cute.I am now addicted!.

Such a pretty doll and such lovely quality. The details in the clothes are sweet and she poses really well. I am very happy with her.

She is such a beautiful doll,even more beautiful than the picture above.Comes with many accessories; even socks! Her quality is amazing, and im so pleased with her. The price is so affordable compared to other bjds and is still beautiful.
