Seems to be like all other racks I've seen (which I was wanting to avoid)- chrome plated metal. Review: Just OK - Interestingly, the image on the packaging does not match the the product. This rack has S shaped feet on the outer edge (you can see them in the product picture). I'm not sure why. So you can stack something on top of it maybe or if you wanted to flip it over you can still use it? idk Also, this rack doesn't have a middle support (like shown on the packaging). Because of this, it's a little flimsy. During my first use (or maybe before...not sure), the weld seam that ties the outer portion on one of the racks broke. Still useable, but I had to MacGyver it back together.

Best use in a freezer
I got these to place in the bottom of a chest type freezer to keep my food off the bottom of the freezer. Works great for this application.
