Quick and easy for work
I work in an auto shop and using some things like an air hammer can definitely cause hearing damage over time. These are cheap and simple to just put on and use so my hearing is protected, then I can just take them off and wash them easily. The rubber plugs aren't uncomfortable, but there is only so much comfort that you can get from this design instead of full on earmuffs, but these are more compact and easy to keep around.

Worked well for NASCAR
These were super easy to use and did a great job blocking noise at a recent NASCAR race. I used them at a smaller speedway too, and even though they reduced the noise from the cars I could still hear the announcers well. The only downside is that they hurt a little when taking them off because they fit so snugly!

Durable earplugs that meet the demands of real jobsite conditiins
I work in aluminum tube metal and other architectural metals. I'm cutting and ripping metal all day on the jobsite in an enclosed space (which amplifies sound).LIKES:These earplugs are durable. The earplugs have remained attached to the bridge for this first week of use and don't show any signs of falling off yet. They wear around my neck or hard hat and stay put in-between use (cuts). I'm constantly putting them in to cut. Then taking them out and leaving them around my neck so I can hear numbers being called out for the next cut to be made. They're awesome for that.DISLIKES:The actual earplug part is small-ish and allows for some sound to get past. Fortunately it's enough protection from the saw sounds for my needs. And cutting metal is REALLY loud. Secondly, the bridge is wrapped into too tight of a curvature. So the earplug is puncturing and penetrating the eardrum (I exaggerate) but it's not comfortable - period. So, I took a cigarette lighter and softened the plastic bridge and opened them up a little. Bent them open and made the curvature to my liking. And that's working fine. One minor modification and they're keepers.OVERALL:I'd buy them again and probably will

Not the best, but there aren't many other options.
Warning! Very in-depth review! At my job I'm always having to put on hearing protection to do one thing, then take it off again to hear someone talking. That means this type of hearing protection (with the plastic neck thing) is pretty much the only kind I can use.The problem with these is that they go too far into your ears. Not far enough to be damaging, but far enough to be very uncomfortable. I constantly had to pull on one side or another to get some relief for a minute or two before it slid back in. It didn't help at all that the plastic was so rigid that it'd actually push them in with a pretty noticable level of force. In the end, I took matters into my own hands and wrapped tape around where the rubber tips are mounted, which effectively made them wider, and kept them from going in as far. I also used a cut-off wheel to cut small slits various spots on the plastic neck thing, causing it to lose some of it's rigidity.(I know it sounds crazy, but when it's a slow day at work what else am I gunna do with my time?)Anyway, the modifications helped, and they work pretty well now. So if you're trying to avoid paying an arm and a leg for the name-brand versions, and aren't too against modifying these, you can get some pretty good value out of them.Oh yeah, and one final note. These are actually nicer than some of the foam-tipped versions if you work in dirty areas. The foam-tipped ones can get dirty, and are almost impossible to clean, where as these are rubber, which allows you to just wipe em off with some water and they'll be good as new.

Cheap Dollar Store Quality
Are these reviews serious. The headbands is a very cheap plastic. I can hear the tv 30 feet away. It something like you would buy from a toy department. Sorry that I bought 2 packs. Years back I had a good pair from Menards and I couldn't hear a thing. Rather high priced!

Not comfortable
Bought these for work. The earbuds are soft but the band is very rigid and doesn’t allow for flexibility. I planned to wear them in the “back” position with the band on the back of my head/neck, but the only position that was remotely comfortable was in “front” with the band below my chin - not good when I’m moving around a lot. Noise cancellation was OK but not great.
